Issues, Workarounds & Localization

Just checking in with a similar experience. I do not hold the mouse button down, but notice that when I hover the mouse over the in-focus window for more than a second or so, the minimize, pin, and close buttons disappear. To get them to reappear, I need to move the mouse outside the focused window, then back inside it, then click the X before a couple seconds elapse, at which point they disappear again.

Play fullscreen on WinXP SP2 @1980x1200 on nVidia GeForce 8600 GT (Driver 6.14.12.7061, 7 Apr 2011).
I have a Logitech mouse but Setpoint is not installed.
I have TS3 installed but this happens even when not running (I only mention this because at one point I had noticed the area of the EVE screen where the TS3 overlay appears flickered occasionally, even when TS3 was not loaded).

It requires some setup, make sure you get the lossless, and you can also focus on the specific size area you want to record, so you dont have to do a full screen mega size image ::

I have the same problem on 3 machines, 2 * towers and 1 * laptop all running different GPU's, it often looks to me like the 'hotspot' is too small and I just have to get the mouse pointer in the exact position to click the close X.

I'll let you know when it hits SiSi so you guys who find it really easy to reproduce can try it out.

So ... we get a decent and concerned response from a Dev, followed by a possible resolution and all you can think to do is get all arse hot over it ?

There is another issue with the same bug.

Sometimes i try to click on "minimize window" [ _ ] and the window gets closed [ x ]. Very annoying, because i accidentally close multiple stacked chat channels.

Possible reason is:
a) The hotspot of the buttons isnt exact there where the window controls are positioned.
or
b) The activation spot of the ingame arrow seems to be not on its peak.


The new 3D UI (introduced with Incarna) has problems with getting focus on inactive windows or keep focus on an active window, and that is very annoying!

1. Sometimes you try to write in an active chat window, and without your interaction the window becomes inactive and the rest of the text you typed in gets lost.

2. It also happens very often that the chat imput seems to have problems to recognize your letters if you type very fast...
You type in chatwindow "Hello Fellowers" and the chat recognizes "Helo Felowers". It happens with every doubled letter and appears very often since introduction of new UI. The chat drops doubled letters!

Here's how to reproduce it. Open a bunch of info windows and then just try to close them all. Eventually you'll get to one where when you click on the X with a normal every day not weird at all click, you'll notice the window did not close and not only that but the X as well as the minimize and pin icons have completely disappeared and will not re-appear until you move the mouse to another location outside of that window then hover back over the window again. This happens while docked and in space and has nothing to do with Bloodpetal's clicking habits.
