- Why did you maintain a long silence between poor devblog since the beginning of the year ?
- Why all clothes and tattoo wasn't seed on TQ ?
- Why did you postpone to an other time to put in place some hallway or coridor to meet other players on station ?
- Why you promise us some cool stuffs on Fanfest or devblog but never put in place in the game ?

Honestly it is really frustrating for players and not very good for your popularity What?

#3 is mainly because Incarna. basically between introducing the Aurum store, and showing up late with less-then-promised content, players were so pissed many quit, and many more threatened to quit if CCP so much as put a meaningful-sized team on WiS development. we may see it again in 4-5 years, but only if the more bitter/butthurt vets stop whining and realize any addition to eve that is different than anything else already there is good content.

Yep, CCP are too scared to work on Incarna because some idiot priced a pair of trousers so it was more expensive than a decent pair in real life. That and monocles gave people a reason to moan.

Hopefully it's released before Star Citizen goes into beta or else people who play EVE for their sci-fi fix (and not for elite-PVP) will move over.

Because PvP.

In this game, any change to the sandbox that doesn't directly give the PvP crowd a way to bonk you over the head with their shovel will be met with tears of rage and threats of mass exodus. Saddly, the bulk of the current Dev team comes from that crowd, which is great that they have leveraged their own passionate players to help develop the game we love, but sucks because those of us that like the world of EVE and wish to do more than kill eachother for no real reason but some ISK and a few hot tears are left with no real development to our portion of the game.

The one real arguement used by the pvp crowd that just pisses me off though, is the "it adds nothing" arguement.

YES, you can sit and chat with people in channels just, if not more, easily than walking into a bar and finding them. No, this wouldnt introduce new "pvp" or "pve" mechanics. but you know what?

who gives a flying f*ck.

back when i played SWG (started shortly before the Combat Upgrade, played through until roughly 3 months before the final servers closed after NGE), you know what the #1 place to go was?

Cantinas.

yes, you could just as easily join channels and talk with people without ever having to actually be near them, but very large groups of players opted instead to physically walk all the way to specific cantinas on certain planets well out of there way for the sole purpose of plopping their butt in a chair near the dancing girls and discussing things with friends and strangers around them. hell, 90% of the time it wasnt even RP, they just preferred talking in a situation where they could see their conversational partner.

Fact is, while yes this would take long-term developmental resources to both make environments, animations, and the characters bodies themselves, it would add something meaningful to the game. it would add a "soul". it would give the game a face besides betrayal/murder/goons, it would allow the game to feel like more than red crosses and spreadsheets.

now WiS isnt game-breaking for me, im not going to say CCP has to work on it now or ill leave. i would just like to hear an acknowledgement forma t least a few developers that they think in the mid-long term WiS could be beneficial, that not EVERYTHING in eve will HAVE TO revolve around pve/pvp. i just want my eve to have "life", right now it doesnt.

If the Devs cant praise all the player base its probably a good idea to praise a bigger, more passionate and more organized portion of the player base.

Anyways, I'm curious in your reasoning to consider mindless killing of NPCs any better than mindless killing each other.

"its adds nothing" usually stands for "it adds nothing that I'm interested in while consuming an important fraction o Dev time".

But since we already know this my comment adds nothing.

About the Cantinas part: you can do something similar in EVE, just gather at some point of space and talk in local. Small differences its that instead of person avatar you have ships avatar (not to be confused with Avatar ) and instead of dancing girl you have the random general traffic.
BTW kinda funny how you talk about 'phisically' doing something in a virtual world.

well, i say physically, ebcause while were inside our pods, we view everythinga s a virtual world, through sensors.

which emans when we fly ships, were playing in a virtual world as someone playing in a virtual world.
