LoL, you've never spent time in the heavy end of other MMO's, where massive changes that weren't in patch notes are discovered all the time then in the raid groups.

It's not your code.

Well have to agree with that.

Corrected: A customer should never be wondering why the code he is RENTING is being updated.

A well informed customer is the best customer.

Yep, just wait until CCP makes a patch mistake and your machine stops dead in its tracks and you have NO idea what they touched. Oh wait - that's never happened has it. Roll

You just had to go there... now I have this picture stuck in my head of a patch on April first:
Fixing a bug where boot.ini's were mistakenly given back to the players. Were taking them back again Twisted

Seriously though, just because its dust stuff doesn't mean the eve player-base shouldn't be given the information. While the link between the games is light (for the moment) that wont be the case for long. When dust mercs are influencing PI or effecting sov, you can be darn sure the eve community will want all the details.

CCP may as well start getting used to updating the eve players on dust changes, just to start getting in the habit.

I'm donning my tinfoil hat and hoping I'll be able to fly one of those sweet Echo or Gnosis ships soon!

Clearly that is what they added in with this silent patch. Secret Epic Arc in wspace to acquire the Gnosis. P

Reading. It's very difficult, I understand. Try harder next time though.

so you don't care is ccp breaks your computer? The game can be fun all it wants but its not the first time ccp has messed up . community.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=651679. Also wouldnt be the first time they added stuff to the game to benefit them selves bob and bpos anyone? It amazes me how fanboys to games almost have a cult like following and loyalty to "there" game or company. As is they choose to overlook or not believe the past history of ccp

Another one that has a problem with reading comprehension. The bit that says "keeps on running" is the bit that concerns any problems with computers breaking because of patches. If the system keeps on running, eh!

But why bother with it? It's a video game; not a national secret or the formula for Coca Cola or Colonel Sanders' secret ingredients or whatever Nikki Minaj is getting up to or whatever is so critical for you to know. They patched. It didn't break anything, that leaves me happy.

You're a bit more paranoid / tin foil hattish and that is cool, bro. I just find you a very, very funny and tender individual who seems to get a little bit worked up about patch notes for a video game Lol

First world problems ...

P.S. If they wanted to gift themselves something (a) they wouldn't write it into the patch notes, (b) you wouldn't even see that database call happen and (c) do you really think patch notes tell you everything?

such 'silent' patch looks like the update server was compromised and a malicious patch uploaded to it.

If CCP is out to destroy your computer and sneak in patches to support their own player characters.

Why are you still playing this game?

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.
