Wishful Thinking

I know it's not realistically possible, but I think it would be awesome if the Eve Universe met the Starcraft Universe. I'd love a space battle vs. Zerg. Now that Dust 514 gives the Eve Universe planet side battles, it parallels Starcraft even more. Imagine our PS3 buddies driving seige tanks and thors while we get some wraiths and battle cruisers!

Amarr vs. Protoss!

Anyway, just putting it out there. Maybe CCP could introduce a bio-insect race?

Sounds cool, but, "snowballs chance in hell" comes to mind.

And the bio-insect would have to be an alien race if it was even half considered...

What is a bio-insect? Is this like an insect, but one that is biological?

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Generally a biological race, insect is more of a specific suggestion and the way the prefix "bio" is used in any sci-fi game I've seen always seems to resemble insect-ish looking creatures.

I think what she means is a race that uses breed in or evolved biology to be formidable instead of technology.

Humans have a ship they have a space whale, humans have guns they shoot plasma streams. Instead of tools as we see them being a device we can pick up and use as the situation calls each member is a tool for a certain job thereby creating a race of complete and utter tools. (Feel free to draw stereotypical comparisons.)

Like the Arachnids in Starship Troopers. (Movie Verse.) The focus on insects marks them as an enemy because of our often ingrained fear of insects and their caste like systems equivalent to robots like the Rogue Drones that serve this function now pretty much exact. An enemy you don't feel for, no negotiation, no culture, no thinking... Mindless. It guarantees guilt free battles against a mostly mindless foe with good and evil clearly drawn perhaps with a purely evil sort of brain running it.

Of course we could just use ground and air versions of Drones but they aren't squishy and gross.

Sounds like the average highsec miner.

One thing at a time. A race would have to be developed first before its utility can be expanded upon. I'd go look up some quote about closed-minded people, but I have other things to do beside pay taxes and die =P

There we go! That's use'n the ol' noodle! Rogue drones would be a good source for an alien race. First things that come to mind is not a straight evil race, but more like deep logic used in the plot to iRobot and an operation method similar to the Replicators in Stargate.

So you want Player-versus-Insect. Is this more like PvE or rather PvP or perhaps something completely new?

Atleast do EVE vs WH40K then.

Thats what inspired starcraft anyway.

Hell, it probably inspired some of EVEs lore aswell.

Imagined it. Then logged into dust on my PS3, and looked at a siege tank. Then logged into eve, and looked at a battlecruiser.

Apparently these are already like, ingame...

Don't fight it, it will only cause you more trouble after their inevitable victory.

CCP needs to a add plastic surgery option as well.
