ISBoxer clarification request.

So I'm seeing all these threads about the subject of ISBoxer getting locked and without a reason why. People are asking about the legality of using ISBoxer, yet all the ISDs and Devs are doing is locking these threads without any clarification as to why nor are they answering the question.

This is not a troll thread.
This is not a thread intended to start rumors or flame wars.
This is simply a thread requesting clarification on such unusual behavior by the ISDs and Devs who are locking any and every thread on the subject.

So... what gives? Why are ISDs and Devs smashing down any and all threads that ask about ISBoxer? Why are there no responses or clarifications as to why?

One of the Devs who locked a thread replied with this:

Well ok, I can understand locking a thread for rumor mongering. But a phantom policy change yesterday? What changed? And why are our threads being locked for asking what changed? You guys do realize the more you lock these threads without explanation, the more speculation and tin foil hattery comes out, right?

Maybe instead of having to lock down thread after thread without explanation, someone over at CCP could just create a thread stating what this phantom policy change is as well as state the legality of this ISBoxer.

I think that would be the most productive way to handle this if I were a CCP employee.

The policy was not changed. Its still the policy that isboxer, when used for just keystroke broadcast, is OK. The threads are locked for other reasons, like trolling, or rumor mongering.

NOTHING HAS CHANGED... does capital letters make it easier to understand?

it takes a special kind of stupid to recreate the same thread over and over expecting something different to happen.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Perhaps the threads are being locked because.....

Because their policy towards ISboxer and multiboxing has not changed and claims that ISBoxer is banned or going to be banned are simple rumourmongering.

Two of the defining characteristics of a carebear are wanting other players to play the way the carebear wants and whining on the forums for the game to change when they don't. Yet I see more threads on these forums from gankers than I do miners whining about wanting the game changed to suit them.

That GM post is from 2010.04.23, there is a difference between yesterday and almost 3 years.

As for right now though, the point has been made by CCP.

I will ask for a response and in the mean time, I ask that you be patient.

Please do not parse our words without context. Yesterday, I made a post saying "Our policy on this has not changed." Earlier today I made a post saying "Our policy on this did not change since yesterday."

I meant this incredible literally. Our policy on ISBoxer has not changed in a long time. I am not trying to trick you or present you with some sort of intricate sting operation. We are currently applying the same rule we have on ISBoxer as we have for quite a long time.
