Would you think the wargames idea is somewhat risk-averse, so you don't risk your own sov/moons in favor of goodfight?

Do you think CCP will redo sov because of this, or will ccp stop developing sov, as we currently found a work-aroud?

I definitely will vote for Mangala for CSM if I'm around. Obviously he's done more for RVB than 99% of the rest of the players (That's right: Mangala is a member of the 1%) in RVB. Since RVB affects Eve as a whole in several ways, I think it is in CCP's best interest, as well as players - RVBers or not - to vote him onto the CSM. It should be noted that some have voiced a suspicion he is a Kenyan pretending to be born in Hawaii, but that never stopped anyone from being elected before so I guess it doesn't matter.

Personally rather pull out my fingernails with pliers, grind em up with a mortar and pestel and snort it than get involved in Eve politics. Consequently I had no idea how the process worked and had to go go do research just to find out how to vote. So, if you have less interest in the CSM elections, or politics of any kind, than you do waking up with a conjoined fetus growing out of your skull, or are a noob to Eve politics & the CSM here is the link that explains what this thread is about:

What...

As EVE is a sandbox, everyone will affect everyone. At least the majority of FW-farmers/Null-blocks should be voted on CSM aswell, because they also affect eve.

Make a list of just the CSM 7 members.

Now, next to the names you write down the affiliation or group that they represent.

Done that? Good,

Now from all major groups in EVE, which is the only one that is not directly represented?

Notice that there is no RVB in it?

Well done, now you have one new piece of information to work with!

Lists are a powerful aid in organising your toughs and connecting ideas. They are also called mnemonic matrix if you want to further delve in the subject.

How does that make you know he's more than qualified to be a part of the CSM?

If you really believe in Mangala Solaris, please stop posting so much **** and spam in this thread. It really kills it.
A lot of you see Mangala as a good CSM because he FC's the GANKED fleets. It tell us nothing about Mangala or what he'll do in CSM.

I think your ****** attitude kills this thread, lighten up a little. Its an internet spaceships election ffs.

I Was There, firstly apologies for taking so long to reply to this - and also apologies for my supporters actions in this thread too.

Anyway on topic:

While it can be viewed as being risk adverse, I do not think that in this situation it is. Basically it comes down to a choice between years of structure grind and probably high player attrition or doing enough of that to break the enemy so they just transfer it all; or avoiding all of the issues and just getting fights to keep your players happy while going to CCP and saying "look Sov grinds are broken, Sov is broken, we cannot/will not fight under it any more.)

Hopefully CCP will listen, and soon. A stagnant nullsec is not good at all, after all its the stories of empires rising & falling and the huge battles that entails which brought - and continue to bring - so many players to EVE.

Whats your stand on being able to remove unused skills eg: you may have started off a miner but your pure pvp now and no longer require that skill you should be able to delete that skill and if you want to retrain it a penalty is applied

Its an interesting idea, although would you be able to reallocate the SP you free'd up? If so why not apply the penalty there? If you choose to reassign the SP on a skill (and it could be a time limited thing - ie one skill every 3 months), the penalty is you lose 25% of the SP you wish to reassign.

However, at the same time, I do think that everyone in our time here change our paths, no one ever really stays what they start out as, and collecting a bunch of skills you slowly stop using is part of character & even player development. It also amuses me from time to time to fly battle barges, and then of course battle ventures.

Mangala stated that he wasn't in CSM to represent the RVB.

I just wanted to thank Mangala for his gallant invitation to his election rivals to speak on the RvB forums.

A vote for Mangala is a vote for a true gentleman.

Mang is to this day the only FC with whom I have scared an Erebus pilot ****less and the reason that I blind-warp to cynos automatically.

Sir, you have my (interceptor-shaped) bow.

Funny. You place your vote because of your FC experience with him. The fact that you landed on a titan while in his fleet, makes him a very good CSM indeed.
I get your logic.

Mangala has a unique talent to extract fun from the dullest of situations and create content for all pilots around him.
I totally trust his instincts to correctly evaluate gameplay/content proposals.

Also, his communication means are legend... no matter what new form of communication you discover on the net of nets... Mang is already there.
