Only if you failed horribly at comprehending what it's really about.

I'm well aware of what it claims to be but it seems that piracy is just more fun in the end than crusading against botters.

We crusade against the Spirit of the Bot, that which threatens to invade the body of all non-compliant miners. Those who comply with the New Halaima Code of Conduct have nothing to fear. Those who do not subject themselves to the risk of being cleansed. Enforcing compliance is not piracy, it is mercy.

Partial credit. But if the person can hear you then he was not a valid target to begin with.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

Anything without a mining permit is a valid target.

Anyone who does not comply with the CODE is also a valid target. http://www.minerbumping.com/p/the-code.html

Which gives us a lot of valid targets, I'll admit.

Blackmail, wonderful...

Just give me the name of the system and I'll fix this mess with some proper bounties instead.

It's not blackmail.

We're liberating carebears from a dreary existence of mining. If you had any compassion, you would do the same.

Now, many miners also have bounties on them...

I have no idea where any icefields are these days. I haven't mined in 3 years.

Now entire corporations have started buying those fracking permits... this is uh... progress?

We need to help some of them make the transition to low and null sec. Should be interesting.

OK I'm not sure why ppl have to post this crap on the forums. You take up valuable 1st page c&p space. So you blew up a few mining ships that had no real defense against you....Congrats you have won Eve......not. I personally don't understand the hatred for carebears seeing as they are one of, if not the, fundamental driving forces behind the market. Its basic high-school economics of supply and demand. Blow up the suppliers....demand goes through the roof as well as price. Your "need" to make ppl who want to play the game their own way play your way is foolish at best and downright ******** at worst. And no I'm not a carebear

New Order are a comedy sideshow, a small one.

I have never mined nor had any interaction with new order short of reading their members occasional posts about how much they are changing things...

still better than all the "I'm a newb, and these are the best ideas ever!!!11one!!1" threads in F&I.

though, I kinda wish we could see the indy guys HTFU and get a real conflict going. If for nothing more than I'm running out of EVE stuff to watch on youtube.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

What makes you think that some of the New Order supporters aren't taking advantage of the increase in demand and price? Destruction and production are the fundamental driving force of the economy, you can't have one without the other.

If you want to take a cynical view, the New Order is sponsored by industrialists looking to cash in on the mayhem. It's an aggressive marketing campaign, using both industrial espionage and economic warfare to remove some competition, have some laughs and make an obscene profit in the process. Real world companies would do exactly the same if there were no laws against it, take for an example an arms manufacturer, if they could start a war to sell their wares, they would, and tbh probably do, via subterfuge and lobbying, when they can get away with it.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Tried to read as many of the posts as I could... just wanted to chim in some of my thoughts.

TL;DR: NOL is great, join us.

To those of you who believe tanking your Indy is a waste of time or silly: As a solo ganker if you have a tank, I'm looking for another target... unless the numbers are only 1-2 seconds above Concord response time, then I'll give it a shot. In fleets tanked Indys are usually chosen as targets last; unless of course we have the dps/damage requirements. However, it would be more beneficial to take out 2 untanked targets sitting next to each other rather than 1 and we often split our numbers to do just that.

To those of you would still for whatever reason believe that the New Order is small, or weak, or wont last long:http://code.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=16802696 ...The point isn't the kill, but rather the fleet was formed on a whim. Yes, that is an anti-tanked Orca.. shameful really.

To those of you who believe the Permit system is a scam, or extortion, or you just don't like it: At first I wasn't sure what to think about the 10 million ISK mining permit. At first I too thought it was a scam. However, we actually don't attack people who have permits and they are actually set to blue. If you are not AFK and get ganked by a member of the New Order, there is a chance your ship will be replaced. I recently replaced a 46m ISK Retriever because of a mistake I made in the mail explaining NOL policy (Not going to include KM for permit holders privacy, if you really want to know I'll have to ask him first). As far as extortion is concerned... it's 10 million ISK. You make that in what half an hour-1 hour solo mining and a lot less if group/support mining. Since attacking permit holders is not allowed and whenever someone cries "extortion" to me you're just reaching for anything in an attempt to make us look bad. Now, I could understand if it were 50 million ISK per permit, then you would have an argument.

When I created this character I had played Eve on and off for about a year and a half. The characters I started this great game off with I don't play anymore; I don't remember their names. This is my main. I eventually was on the verge of quitting, heard that Hulkageddon was active again and decided to participate. Then I realized I could actually make a profit from suicide ganking. And so the career began. When I first heard about NOL I remember thinking to myself, "great they're going to cut into my profits." I played this game mostly solo and hated it. Eventually talked to someone affiliated with the New Order and got into their channel. Had the chance to run fleets with them. Had a great time and the rest is history.

The best part of these dumbass threads is all the high-minded idiots who come in to bump it with their proclamations of how dumb the New Order is.

Best 100 mil for entertainment I've spent in EVE so far.

Why all the walls of text on why you gank or pew pew? You make up whole books of reasons, you call it 'cleansing' etcetera.

I'll tell you why I pew pew: because I am looking to cause some tears.

Shouldn't that be a simple enough reason?

Because all out genocidal warfare is better than instant tears.

There is, after all, just one human activity left in which whole populations accomplish the union sacre.

We need James 315 as a rallying point. Forcing him down people's throats as their high-sec messiah accomplishes exactly what we want it to do. He is the ominous figure in which the fear, repulsion and hatred of our victims are directed... Before they are ultimately extinguished, converted or made to conform.
