WIN 7 64bit fresh install erroring out.....need help

Here are the details

1. I did a fresh format + install of Win 7 64bit (aka no previous files saved on any of my hard drives)
2. I then attempted to install Eve Online from the home page of www.eveonline.com
3. The Eve_Online_Installer_494548.exe program errored out and i got "Archive Extraction Failed: 3"
4. I click on the "Click here to download manually" link
5. I download both of the 'Payload Files"
- eveonline_494548_1of2.7z
- eveonline_494548_2of2.7z
6. I then move the two 'payload' files into the folder that the eve installer pulls them from.
7. The install gets almost all the way complete (gets to the extracting 3/3 part of the install)
8. Then the installer gives me this error "archive extraction failed: 3"
9. I then install just the repair.exe program.
10. I run 'repair.exe' and it tells me that I am missing ALL of the eve files (makes sense since eve has not been installed yet)
11. The "repair.exe" program tries to then start downloading the 'payload' files again.

Would like the solution to this problem.

and no I am not running any antivirus software atm, and i have run eve for over a year with no problems on this computer with my current set up

Update: I am not sitting here looking at 3 x "Payload" files and no matter which combo I switch them around in they do not work

Update: the installer hangs on the extraction (3/3) part of the process then when I tab to a different program it instantly errors out

suggestions anyone?

hmm well it appears that downloading the game through the repair tool has gotten me to be able to open the launcher. Now I am just waiting for the launcher to patch the game. We will see if this works

well game works.........CCP please fix this crappy download / install system. A person who wants to play your game should not need to attempt to download it 5 different ways prior to it actually working
