Web bonus is overpowered imo. Give the other tier3 bcs similar bonus or remove the web bonus.

If hybrids suck so bad then why not give the caldari bc a similar bonus?

When everything is said and done, this is CCP's game. If they want to add a web bonus to the Talos, they can.
Personally I would like to see a painter bonus on the Naga, a tracking disrupt or NOS/Nuet on the Oracle, and a web range bonus on the Tornado.
Of course like my late grandmother used to say "Be happy with what you get, worrying about the 'could have' will just drive you crazy."

Web Strength Bonus is Crap compared to Web Range. But in the hands of the Nado which can Kite faster then a Nano Rupture, well.... Just bend over for a Sec.

Has Gallente pilots can tell you it's unfair you can hit with your large Auto Canons from 100km or with your large Scorch Pulse at -/+65km when blasters are limited to 25 end falloff and dmg not scratching your paint.

Swap the web bonus to 5% tracking bonus or even 7.5% to match the megathron's bonus.

Or remove Talos drones and nerf base speed so it can't break 2.4km/s with ease.

Please keep the ewar seperated. The pirate faction ships have mixed some of these abilities (obviously because they are intended to be a mixture of technology from the two empires) but these tier3 ships, from what i understand, are not Pirate ships and should not be mixing bonuses from other races


I understand your frustration but, in my opinion, you are coming from a false sense of how much the designers care about faction flavour. The EWAR/Faction link only came about with T2 Recon ships, and got extended to EAS later. Check out the fleet/navy faction items:

  • Caldari Navy: Stasis Webifiers, Warp Jammers
  • Imperial Navy: Energy Vampires/Destabilisers
  • Republic Fleet: Warp Jammers, Target Painters
  • Federation Navy: Stasis Webifiers
  • Ammatar Navy: Energy Vampires/Destabilisers
  • Khanid Navy: Stasis Webifiers, Warp Jammers


So, the Republic Fleet get Web Jammers and the Federation Navy get Stasis Webifiers. See also that the Caldari and Khanid Navies get both, but no ECM! In fact it's only the Republic Fleet who actually have an EWAR module (the target painter) that complements their T1 ship bonus (Vigil/Bellicose), and that only got introduced relatively recently.

Its only CCP who know whether their designers actually had an original concept of faction flavoured ship EWAR bonus coupled with items that didn't get carried through or not.

Fairness doesn't come into it.

Web range bonus would be much more useful but yes it would kinda make the minmatar recons somewhat obsolete in fleets if it was put on the talos, as it stands, Talos is great for screwing ceptors, Rapier is great for catching stuff running back to gates or trying to run away.

Seems to work fine!

I don't see the problem here, just get close and face-melt.

Web Strength is a nice compliment to the short range of blasters.

The thing is most fleets underuse webs, remote sensor dampeners and other tools provided to help Gallente ships close.

The Talos fixes a couple issues with blaster BC's, 1) range, its finally a BC that can hit past scram range (yay) and 2) being kited.

That web bonus means it behooves you to fit a web, and with 4 mids that means you are armor tanking so you aren't going to be running down recons and nano-canes, and you aren't going to see Hyperion DPS without going pure glass cannon fit.

It'll be fun I think, expendable, but fun.
