Trying to find missions

Hey! I am trying to find some missions to meet my difficulty.. I have been doing lvl 1 missions, but they are all so easy.. But I got my butt kicked in lo sec when I tried to do a lvl 2 mission..

Currently I am doing lvl 1 security missions in .5 sec zones, and even that is very easy, and I don't make too much..

I have done the sisters of eve epic arc, and am looking for somthing to do that actually has a challenge to it, let me make money, and not get me killed the second I show my face in lo sec.

Thanks!

What ship are you doing the missions in? For level 2 missions i would suggest that you use a cruiser.
But also remember that when you jump into a mission do not just sit around and let things beat on you! In some missions you might find that you have to warp in and out a lot until you have gotten the incoming DPS down to a level that your tank can handle, but this will improve with skill and knowledge about the missions.
Fit the right tank for what your fighting, train the support skills (a "bigger" ship means nothing when you dont have the support skills to fit it correctly).

As the poster above me mentioned you can use EVE agents to find missions, and i would also suggest that you ask either corp members or other people in local if they can help you if you run into a mission you just cant beat. Do not decline a mission after you have accepted it since this will give a pretty nasty hitt to your standings.

I have been using the Catalyst. Its pretty much all I can afford. Its easy as hell to go thru lvl 1 missions, but I can't really go into lo sec, because the last time I got killed by gate campers.. And with a bank account with less then 10 mil I need an income before I can go wasting catalysts, and I have to do like 50 lvl 1 missions to even buy a cat..

Chose an agent that resides in high-sec?

What he said. You can find agents from level 1 - 4 in high sec. Ofc you will find some in low sec as well, but level 5 missions are the only ones that are low sec only (however i think there is a couple of agents that will give you missions in high sec?).

It might be further to travel to get to the high sec ones from where you are, but it will be much easier on your wallet until you have a more stable income.

Is .5 high sec? because that is the last lvl 2 mission I took, and he told me to go to a .3 sector.. Which is where I got gate camped...

From a quick search, there is a lvl 2 agent in a .7 sec area, which I would go, but im worried he will throw me into a lo sec area..

and I cant really afford another ship to test the waters lol

But I will try anyway and see LolLol

Yea .4 and under is where you will get popped. *some missions you receive from those boarder agents can send you into low. You can either refuse those specific missions or move to slightly higher sec space.

You would be fine in .7 ... I highly doubt you get many or any missions at all that send you down to .4 from there.

You're probably gonna want to look into getting a Thorax cruiser for lvl 2 security missions if you are training for Gallente ships.

Use the built-in Agent Finder to find agents close to you. Make sure you select Hi-Sec from the Security Status drop-down menu and customize your search as far as which corp or faction you want to mission for. It's a powerful tool.

Don't forget you can decline a mission from a particular agent once every four hours without penalty. If you get to the point where they have just offered you a second mission that you want to decline after already declining a mission, instead of actually declining it hit the "Delay" button and use your Journal to keep track of when you can remotely start a conversation with that agent to decline it once the four hour period has passed. You don't want to be taking the standings penalty for declining a second mission.

Normal mission agents won't send you beyond their current constellation.
Choose an hisec agent in a constellation that is all hisec and you won't be required to go to lowsec.

To my knowledge, the security status of the system does not have an influence on the "difficulty" of a mission (inasfar as rats are tougher or more of them in less secure systems), it only effects rewards.
Perhaps you should take a look at the map, there is an option to search for "My avaible agents" as well as to show the security status of the systems. Together that should help you to find an agent you can run missions for in a system that is far from low sec systems (agents do not usually send you a gazillion jumps away to do missions, only one or two).

Also, yes, Cruiser is the ship of choice to do L2 missions though the difficulty of missions can vary as well, a good point of reference is the time allowed to finish a certain mission (I read somewhere once that it is actually dynamic, being set by the average time it takes other missioneers to complete it; no guarantees for the truth of this, of course).
So obviously, the shorter, the easier it is.

Finally google "eve survival guide" for mission description.

Basically use the agent finder tool in game.

E icon at the top left>buisness>agent finder

Select the filters you like, faction, corp, division (security is combat missions, distribution courier, etc), highsec.
Drag the silder to the level you like, and now you should get a list of agents (you can also select if you can actualyl use these agents or not).

Several details should be listed next to each agent. Among these is the sec level of the system they are in. I fat all possibly aim for 0.7 or above, they have a low chance of putting you into lowsec.

I retract this post.
Just had an offer for a security mission "Are You Receiving" in Nakugard (Ani constellation) to location Hagilur (Barvigrard constellation).

Another stealth change?

Is it a storyline mission?

Doesn't look like... but then again, IDK how (if) eve-survival notes that.

with that said, it's 5 jumps between those two systems. This is "in line" for a L4 mission (which can send you 5-7 jumps at times -- though that's couriers...)

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

If you dont mind running missions for Caldari and Amaar I have a great system with 2 level 4 security agents, .6 security and 4 jumps from low sec. The only missions I get for low are courier storylines which I just delete. I would be willing to fleet with you and help boost your standings and you can salvage for me to earn isk if you want. Unfortunately I have no knowledge of where to mission in Gallente or Minmitar space.

Nope.
Are You Receiving?
It's slightly unusual in that it's one of the multi-part missions and it's vs Amaar, but the agent is not storyline.
