I just think the old Comet looked awesome.. with the police feeling they should make a whole series of police car ships from cruiser up to bs.. that being said..

i never understood that tbh. only thing to get "bridges" right was BSG with the galactica's CIC room. anytime i see star trek, and they just start blasting away at random sections of the ship after the shields drop, i just start screamin "shoot the damn bridge, its RIGHT THERE", dont even care if its the enterprise that wold get hit, i would just like to see common tactical sense in scifi for once.

It is goofy. The exposed bridge on naval vessels was a matter of convenience for line of sight navigation. After the ability to use instrumentation and other means were available, they really became obsolete for military purposes.

It makes no sense having them stick out in what seems to be a vulnerable position.
Might as well put a glass windshield on an otherwise armored tank, if you want to follow that logic.
