Because one does not preclude the other.

Good question. How can he propose his hypothesis if he knows it's not true? Or, perhaps more accurately, why would he?

The simple fact remains: reality falsifies his hypothesis.

So what is your conclusion?

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Oh, ok. I thought you were stating a fact and were then, in a next step, coming to a conclusion and to give us new insights.

You thought right, and the conclusion is that reality falsifies his hypothesis.
It's not really a new insight, I know, but that's ok too: sometimes you need to be reminded (or just informed) of what's already known.

If you want to beat someone over the head with reality, you state the fact, proof and a method for verification.

Or you use a club.

The big alliances and coalitions are complacent and don't want real fights so they pin all the blame on sov. Sov mechanics are crap, but they're not the sole cause of the sea of blues and crap wargames ideas. Certain groups and individuals speak of how they would get "burned out" in real war, and would stop or reduce the time and effort they spend. I see that as a good thing, because it'll prevent stagnation. How can new FCs, new pilots, new alliances shine if the best way in which they can win out over the old ones - i.e. putting in more time, effort, etc - is removed because the old ones want to keep what they have without having to keep up the effort? Thats what this is all about.

Do we really need another one of these threads? Question

This battlefield is already littered with horse carcasses and worn down clubs.

Tell me more about this 'reality' hypothesis you have.

I stated my theory was in fact just that (possibly ;) ), however you seem to have an opposing argument which as yet has no substance, other than you have labelled it 'reality'.

Please enlighten me ...briefly, and then get back to original topic.

Post with my main? This is my main - I just overtrain and overplay my alts.

Yeah, see… a theory is not a hypothesis. If your “theory” may be a hypothesis then, by default, it is not a theory any more.
Beyond that, your “theory” has none of the markings of a theory, only those of a hypothesis. Your theory is not a theory by virtue of it just being a list of unproven claims.

That's the nice thing about theories: opposing them requires no substance unless they have provided any substance of their own (and before that, they're not theories anyway). Since your claims have no substance, opposing them needs none either.

Put another way: prove yourself right before asking people to prove you wrong.

Reality is not a hypothesis. Reality is where you try to find the observations that verify your hypothesis so you can build a theory upon them. The reality is that none of your points have happened. Your hypothesis remains false; your supposed theory does not exist.

Come to think of it, I'd be much more amenable to the whole idea if they called it the blue kidney bean. Of course, it might not have the same culinary… traction(?)

Well look at the shape of the CFC, the HBC and Solar.

It's like triple-bean soup here in nullsec.

Wrap donut in tinfoil, roast until crispy.

Get some sweet confectionery from podded miners in highsec. Top baked/roasted donut. Enjoy.
