[Blog] my try as a blogging indi/trading alt.

I have been playing eve for almost 5 years now.
But i had this alt of mine laying in a pill of dust.
And as a working man the time i can spend on eve went down hard.

I had the idea to start allover again as a eve pilot for a long time.
But its better to use this alt as a play character.

The idea is to start with 100mil isk (became a bit more)
And get bigger step by step in industry and trading.

I'll try to give some updates more then once a week.

How to get a idea what items to trade?
Get a very big list of loot items so you can determine with some excel lists what could be a good buy-order.
So for the first time in 3+ years back to high-sec mission running Roll

First week of production is in with a very nice profit to be made.
No more pve, but made a unexpected high income.

And a new idea what i could do with the profit,
very smart or very stupid.

Week 2 over and the profit increase from 74 to 91.
Next week should be much better, some indi skills
are responsible for that.

After the last post that some of my corp-members found very useful.
There was the simple question after reading it. What should i produce then??

For every trading-hub it's of-course different.
But i'll try to make some posts with examples what i think could make you some money
(with the right skills ofcourse)

Month two is over and the total balance has increase with 695 million.
Bought 140 million worth of bpo's, and i'm in need of high refining meta 1
items. Give me more it's working perfectly, cheap minerals.

Moving half way in to month 3, i've bought some more bpo's,
still bought researched ones form contract (a own pos is still a far, far future plan)
Trade has almost completely focused in to buying meta scrap to refine
in to minerals. The more minerals i can buy this way the more production
runs i can do. I mentioned two sentry bpo's as being a fast earning idea
for some simple tech 1 production. The only think you need is a medium to
big trading hub, where you sell more than you can make. As long as you
update your prices a couple of times a day.

The next one i write will be on ship production and the lack of profit because

As a newbie I really like your blog.

I made the same calculations and saw that as a new industrialist I could make 10k-20k per produced and sold item.
Taking into consideration that I would have to skill my industrial and my trading skills, I would have to research the market and find my niche, buy bpo's/bpc's research or get them researched, buy minerals, produce the goods, transport it to the trade hubs and wait for a month to sell my goods...

I thought to myself: "... it is easier imho to buy stuff and resell it with profit, either station trading or hauling."

So I just said to myself, thanks but no thanks. :)

What would you need for your very own POS?
What "market" would you like to expand to? Building ships? Manufacturing ammo? Building rigs?...

Do you use BPC's?
Do you have researcher contacts?
Do you still log into your main char?
What do you enjoy outside of the world spreadsheets? :)
