Unanchoring pos with low faction standings in hi-sec

Are there any standing requirements for unanchoring a POS in hi-sec?
Many people use corp standing boosts in order to meet the required faction standings to anchor a POS.

It would be kinda annoying if you weren't able to unanchor it in case of a wardec.

I believe the only time it cannot be unanchored is when it has actually entered Reinforced Mode.

Maybe someone can confirm.

I believe if it has hull/armor dmg as well. Just like the modules that would be anchored to it.

It also can't be unanchored if it has guns with bugged ammo preventing the gun itself to be unanchorable. TrueStory.jpg

it can be unanchored at any time (unless reinforced, or has hull/armor damage as already mentioned). That said, if you used a corp standings service and your corp standings is below the minimum to anchor a tower, you _will not_ be able to re-anchor it.

Or you could look at it this way:
If you need high standings to anchor, why would that faction prevent you from un-anchoring when your standings are low? Blink

Of course, why a faction then doesn't turn and burn down your POS when the corp/alliance standings get too low is another matter. Lol

Because that would be an aggressive act against the player corporations, and factions don't shoot the player until he is of extremely low standing, whereas setting up the control tower is a highly esteemed priveledge. Theres a big middle ground of "We like you enough to let you hang out, but not anchor stuff in our space."

You've already got your answer, just remember that if you unanchor you can't reanchor the POS in the same spot again without the standings...something to think about if you thought about removing the POS on a temporary basis. It's probably a good idea to leave it up if at all possible.
