So has Ring mining been tossed into the trash bin or is it going to take 4 years to develop?

Just make it possible to mine off the moon with a ship module, and the amount taken comes off the POSes mining amount - ie 5000 units taken = no pos mined recovery for 50 hours.

Hey presto, alliances have to be active in the space where they have moons to protect from opportunists. Would go a long way to fixing 0.0.

Yeah would make things a lot better wouldn't it and no massive resource wastage.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Hmmm we appear to still be waiting for another substantial reference to Moon mining being considered for introduction apart from the aforementioned throwaway Soundwave comment...

CCP will keep on doing little things for a long time now, it is much easier to plan and execute than big content expansions. After all we don't want them to return to their wayward path of :awesome: do we?

I'm looking forward to another 4 years of GUI tweaks and minor changes in ship stats.

Come back in 4-5 years, that seems to be the time frame CCP uses to actually start considering changes.

I'm not sure that another "Player V Environment" feature is the best way to go about it. I hope they create the ability for players to steal or siphon off moon goo from unguarded arrays instead. It seems like that would be easier to program, and with more options for players to interact with and affect each other will come more spontaneous content.

Looking forward to a dev blog from CCP Seagull.

I was very excited to read about her taking the position of a Senior Producer, and her and Unifex's ideas about multidisciplinary expansions.

I'm still optimistic something happens :)

What don't you "buy"?

Find another CCP originated reference to "ring mining".

Sounds like you'll be tempted to afk mine, but without concord, you might be dangerously exposed...

As long as you get the POD, Concord wasn't even there as far as he's concerned.

What a joke. That's exactly what I'm talking about.

"Some people have been looking forward to Modular POSes, Ring Mining and a host of other things we have talked about during 2012 and before."

He's responding to the fact that players keep bringing up "ring-mining", not suggesting that this is something that they have or have had any kind of plan to work on.

I'm not sure if this is genuine intellectual dishonesty on your part or you're just still blinded by incursion nerf rage, but people are going to call you on bs like this.

Doesn't ring mining also kinda depend on the whole DX11 thing to actually look like ring mining? And that's not coming any time soon.

To op, you really tought they were actually going to release a feature that could crumble power blocks hold of nullsec and release it when CSM is full of people from those nullsec powerblocks...

That has less change of being ever released then snowball has in hell. Power blocks are going to fight it everystep of the way.

We are Minmatar, Our ship are made of scraps, but look what our scraps can do...
