New Weapons? not being redone but new....

The idea of modular weaposn was discussed at one point. and shelved I can understand why it was shelved in favor of rebalancing the weapons. this gives the programmers a chance to clean up tons of code and trim down the speghetti code affects. the modular design concept was possibly placed into the Dust 514 gear. i know the armor uses it somewhat so this made a wise decision to test it there see how would work and interact.

chances are modular weaposn or gear for ships will be looked at once again. I hope they do. it would just bring in more training time. and the skills should be placed after teir 2 skills or the skills for tech 2 gear. what ever.

This could be done, linking the mines to be drones which do not move and only have 5 of them per ship. Idea

Very expensive drones,
that can only be used once,
due to how they latch on to target ships.

1)
Tiger-able when a target ship has reached hull damage.
Then, the drone latches on to the hull, of target ship,
and proceeds to open the victims ship up like can food,
and it proceeds to fry the pilot or simply chop up.

I would expect brutal sound effects and blood splatter.
Maybe an blinking " EJECT !" , as your capsule is being exposed to extreme thermal damage.

2)
Same as drone above... YET..
. activated on armor damage..
Yet it just latches on and
activates an micro warp drive;
thus, effectively causing the ship to spin out of control.

The drone would, of course,
permanently expire after x minutes,
yet the victim would be, almost, completely
out of the battle for the duration of the spell.

I am being serious.

What about a turret that literally spams, ammo.

Think Minigun, yet much... much faster...
like a mini gun after 20 000 years of invention and honing ( minus a dark age ).

Tracking speed : 0.00 : Relevant to the ship's Bow ( Front of a vessel).

I'm going to assume your'e not being serious, but i'll answer seriously anyways.

there are no "bows" in eve, ships dont have a front/back orientation unless they are moving, meaning while sitting still this weapon would have near-perfect omnidirectional shooting as EVERYTHING will be "in front of it"

I think it's way too late and would result in way too much anger, but I always thought it odd that Caldari and Gallente shared a turret weapon system. Would have liked to have seen each race have their own turret weapon system just like they have their own ships. If I could go back in time, I'd retool ammo so each turreted weapon type did at most two types of damage with differentiation being range/tracking/cap use. So lasers are EM/Therm, Hybrids are Kin/Therm, Projectiles would be Explosive/Kinetic. Then introduce a new weapon system for either Caldari or Gallente that does Explosive/EM, maybe a "Plasma" weapon system.

Among other reasons, would never happen due to invested skillpoints and the resulting shattered monuments if they did ever attempt it.
