This is a brawling dragoon, used in fleet fights. How could it be improved?

Note: this fit requires a 1% CPU implant.

Highs:
3 T2 rocket launchers
2 small meta 4 neuts

Mids:
T2 afterburner
Fleet warp disruptor

Lows:
T2 ENAM
T2 ANAM
DC 2
400mm rolled reinforced tungsten plate

Rigs:
2 small trimarks
1 small armor explosive resist

drones:
10 warrior 2s
5 utility drones (ecm or armor reppers)

Ammo:
Faction inferno rocks for general use, javilins for range, furies for close, webbed targets.

Thoughts?

Short ranged weapons, AB, but nothing for range control? This fit is too reliant on just 2 neuts capping and enemy dry before they realise they should run.

If you're going AB, you should go scram, not disruptor.

For my fleet Dragoon I prefer something like this. It makes more use of the Dragoon's bonus. Being plated and AB's, it's slow but does most of its damage at any range from fast Warrior drones to deal with kitey frigates. Brawler frigates get neuted out fast within 12km . I put 3 lasers on because I get better DPS than from rockets, and Gatling Pulse Lasers don't draw much power anyway.

The Rocket equivalent is cheaper, dropping the pricey cap rips for processor rigs.

Small neuts kinda suck without a transfer bonus. If you are going to brawl in a Dragoon, go for broke:

It is relatively symmetrical and has a color-scheme that is pleasing to the eye.. But the over all shape is rather boxy and looks pretty industrial by any standards, hardly a sleek spaceship. Its also heavily weighed down by the unoriginality of the design seeing how it borrows heavily from the styling of the coercer which to compound the problem is in the same class.

I'd give it a solid 5/10 i think.

If you mean performance then plate it and make it really good at fooshfooshing all cap away.

Lasers on a Dragoon? Why? It has no laser bonus. Lasers without a bonus suck and lasers with a bonus only suck a little less. Fit that baby with autocannons or artillery and save your capacitor for defensive/repair modules.

he clearly said draggons in a fleet. so yeah, fit those meta4 neuts, 3 of them. 5 dragoons pulsing that can neut anything smaller than a cruiser in one cycle, 2 - 3 for cruisers. leaving only one active to keep the cap at 0 afterwards. just make sure you manage your cap, with 2 mids you are stuck with prop/ewar, no room for boosters.

if you are in a fleet, for the love of god have 2 ships go as point, have the rest with tds or damps, 3 of either can make a small fleet a very effective bc killer. just hope your target fits mwd, or is slower than you with an ab. for frigs it doesn't matter, 25 hobsII will one shot anything, and the mwd bonus even when its awkward as hell it works if only to take 2 shoots before ******* up the drones tracking.

guns are optional really, your damage comes from drones. i like using 3 small ACs to kill off enemy drones, or nothing if i drop AB in exchange for an MWD. i don't think there's any other weapon system more effective than acs to pick off drones.

works.

it kinda stops working if the target you nabbed starts pulsing a smartbomb. Blink

that dragoon with a full high rack of weapons made my eyes bleed, its a drone boat.

Dragoon is way too slow for small neuts. Anything a small neut would effect is just going to kite out of it. Use med and then address the cap issues.

If (as stated) this is for fleet/gang then you don't need the point. That's the job of your tackle and you don't have enough mids for it. Put a cap booster and MWD on it. MWD to range and shut it off to get your SIG back down. If your tackle hasn't already webbed the target you can then pulse your MWD to keep you in range. But your neuts are going to do more to slowdown a target anyways.

Finally your "main" damage source is going to be from drones anyway. So just add more neuts ;)

Dragoon - you did what??:

High:
Small Unstable Power Fluctuator x 6
Mid:
Meta AB
Meta Scram
Low:
DC II
ANP II
DDA II
200mm rolled tungsten
Rigs:
Small Egress Port Maximizer x 2
Small Semiconductor Memory Cell

You can run all 6 neuts for 48 seconds or eight cycles. As you get good with it you master the art of capping out an enemy and then going down to one neut to conserve capacitor.
