only 3 primary colors and a orange or violet side would be silly.

Gold is gold coloured, rust is rust colour, blue steel is blue steel coloured, strange bio-metal is strange bio-metal coloured, etc, etc.

After a long scientific study did CCP come to the conclusion that the colours used to distinguish the races had to be pretty. They also found with their study that beauty was overrated and so the decision in the end was easy.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Gold is regal.
Rust is regressive.
Blue/Grey is sterile and cold.
Green is the color of all of the weed Gallente are smoking? **** it, I've got nothing for this one.

Copper oxide (CuO) is black-green, if this helps. You'll see it often on old copper pipes.

For more info on colours and metals see here.

I heard that the discussion about racial colours raged for weeks at CCP HQ, heated debates spilled over several days and some fight broke out.

Then CCP realised no one cared and just randomly chose who had what. And to this very day, still no one cares.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

The Amarr are the regal, holy race. gold is traditionally associated with the wealthy, of which the amarrian church (and by extension their military and government) pride themselves on thoroughly.

grey is the color of emotionless, cold, calculating steel machines. the caldari are a corporate dictatorship, you are born into a megacorporation, your role in the ever moving corporate machine is decided before birth, there is no room for choice, compassion, or ethics.

red/brown is the color of rust. the minmatar, trying to pull themselves from the wreckage left behind after amarrian enslavement, natrall would use whatever they can find, maintenence for such a society is kept to "only the necessities" as they dont have resources to spare, so as long as a ship flies, its in working order. polishing off the rust is a luxury they just dont have the time or man-hours for.

green is commonly associated with life and the organic, something the freedom-democracy-'murica style gallente take pride in. most of their ships and stations being themed with organic (and often quite phallic, you sily space-frenchies) symbolism.

This basically answers this topic perfectly.

it was the egyptians that popularized the phallic symbol. french (gallics) only stole it for themselves after the romans stole it from the gypos and planted them all over their countryside as a testament to how badly they beat the **** out of them for hundreds of years.

Look up the four humors. Then look up the four classical elements. Go ahead and look at other schemes that describe things in fours; tell me what they all have in common.

By the way, since we're already talking, do you want to buy a rifter? I've got the cheapest rifters in Metropolis. If you can find a cheaper rifter, buy it!

Phallic symbols have always been popular with humans.

Go figure.

I don't see any problem with those; we can customize our skin color anyway.
