I, Vitae Yassavi, am hereby announcing my candidacy for the Eighth Council of Stellar Management. Let me begin by giving a small background. I am a miner and industrialist by trade, a PvE'r every once in a while, and a PvP'r when I can. That being said, there are plenty of things I want to learn about EVE that I am not knowledgeable about. I promise to you, every EVE player, old and new, that if your agenda differs from mine, I will make yours heard, and yours is the agenda that I will push for. Your opinions matter, and your opinions can make EVE Online better. Feel free to mail me in game or convo me and I will talk to you for as long as you would like about whatever you would like.

Now the questions of policy. As I stated before, I am a miner and industrialist, so most of my expertise is in those areas. One of the biggest issues right now is the balance between high and low security space. I do not believe that it is necessary to "nerf" hi sec as far as some others have suggested, but I think a better fix would be to buff low sec and null sec. Hi Sec currently contains a nice variety of ore that I find sufficient for a small scale industry operation, but to build ships I must fly to low sec space and mine there.

Another issue along the lines of risk vs. reward is miner ganking. I do not believe that miner ganking is bad or evil or needs to be removed. It is a risk that every miner needs to be aware of, and every miner needs to take the appropriate precautions against ganking. Joining an established corporation that runs mining ops with security is a good start, for mining alone in the vast reaches of a cold universe can (and most likely will be) deadly.

Similarly, I find the argument to remove non consensual war decs from EVE to be ridiculous. If a corporation wants to spend ISK to chase me and my corporation or alliance across the galaxy with a standoff here and there in hi sec, let them. This is an MMO, there will be contact with other players at some point or another, for better or for worse.

More to come soon!

Could you expand on this

How would you see the industry and asteroids buffed in lo-sec and Null, also don't forget wormhole space?

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

I believe that the amount and variety of ore in Hi Sec Space is fine now. The amount of ore and overall quality of ore in low sec is too low, in my opinion. I think that the asteroids should not only contain more of the rare ore, but also, the belts should contain a higher quantity of the +5 and +10 percent ores of the more common ores such as Veldspar, Scordite, Kernite, etc. In null sec, this would be taken a step further, and null sec would contain more of the most rare ores (Arkanor, Bistot, etc.), and the quality of most of the rare ores would be improved (Jaspet, etc), and most of the common asteroids would be +5/+10 percent. As for W-Space, the same principle will apply. A C2 Wormhole will have better ores than a C1. A C3 will have better ores than a C2, and so on and so forth.

You do understand that implementing this would require a fundamental reworking of how grav sites spawn in w-space in order to ensure this at all times, right?

Sorry I did not explain that as well as I should have. The chances for better grav sites will be higher in higher class wormholes.

My agenda is to make sure you don't get onto the CSM. How will you make this heard and push for it, as per your promise?

Every time you post a WiS thread, Hilmar strangles a kitten.

That would be a hard one

But he could do it by getting elected to CSM8 and altering the voting rules to prevent him self from being eligible for CSM9. So for filling his promise as otherwise if he is not elected then he would not have the ability to prevent his own election.

he did not promise to merely push for everyone's agenda on the csm so he is free to fulfill his promise by advocating against his election and disqualifying himself before voting
