To Apaset Orviegnoure,

On the 8th of the 3rd of 115, the Destiny Foundation Board of Directors learnt that its Director of Operations, Seriphyn Inhonores, had participated in an engagement with starships of the Federal Intelligence Office, resulting in the loss of at least one battleship-class vessel and numerous lives. Director Inhonores is reported to have been in a fleet with several other independent capsuleers as well as the Deliverance, an Obelisk-class freighter belonging to hacktivist group SnipeHunts. The latter had been escorted by the former from Inghenges to Cat, as documented by the Scope here.

Our legal investigations have concluded that there was significant confusion amongst the capsuleers escorting the Deliverance. Director Inhonores et al were under the impression they were escorting peaceful activists for purely civilian purposes, and there was some evidence to suggest that SnipeHunt members were in danger. When encountering the FIO battleship squadron in Cat, SDII Lead Field Agent & Administrator Thoun Gaterau had acquired DED clearance to label all members of Director Inhonores's fleet as Suspect. Thus, Director Inhonores was forced to fire back in self-defence. This resulted in the destruction of at least one Megathron-class vessel belonging to the Federal Intelligence Office.

Destiny Foundation prides itself in being a politically neutral humanitarian organization and remains obstinant about this policy. Though Seriphyn Inhonores was forced into an unfavourable situation that resulted in the misfire, the reality remains that several FIO personnel lost their lives as a result of his actions, which could have been avoided with enough foresight from our Director of Operations. The confrontation in Cat has resonated negatively on the working reputation of Destiny Foundation elsewhere, resulting in formal requests to terminate our humanitarian programs from governments in as many as 30 countries across 6 worlds, primarily in the Solitude region. Our ongoing and currently successful Karnola Program in Lonetrek is unaffected, as are the majority of DES-F operations across the Federation. Nonetheless, it is a unfortunate development as a result of a highly regrettable incident.

The Destiny Foundation would like to offer full monetary compensation to the families of those who lost their lives or were otherwise injured in the Cat confrontation, and extends a formal apology to the Federal Intelligence Office for this misunderstanding and misfire. Director Seriphyn Inhonores will not resign from the Foundation, but will be expected to conduct himself in a fashion more befitting his station in future.

As there have been no formal requests to prosecute Director Seriphyn Inhonores for his actions by the Federation, he will be released from detention by Dultiverian authorities in due course.

Blessings,

Augustus Inhonores
