When you have drones loaded in your drone bay you should have a new window on your screen.

IN this window, find the drones that you want and right click them > launch drones.

They should now pop up under a new category called: Drones in space.

Just logged in to check.

The Drone window has 2 categories:

Drones in Bay

Drones in local space.

Does it appear off screen if you have your overview stretched out the full height?

Ctrl-tab to cycle through windows, you may have minimised it to the neocom, or it may be behind something.

Check that you did put the drones in the drone bay of the ship you're flying (I've before now loaded up cargo then flown out in a different ship) and that you have the necessary skills to use those drones (Drones and Combat Drone Operation iirc)

Also, before you warp out, recall your drones by right-clicking the 'Drones in Space' menu and choosing 'Return to Drone Bay'. I've lost track of how many times I've had to buy replacements because I forgot to recover my drones.
