I am merely the messenger. I'm pretty sure in such a perverse and corrupt kingdom, with no actual claim to justice or righteous authority, only the rule of power and contempt for the weak, only the King can crown himself.

I'd be concerned though if I were you, as the last few members of your ilk have met untimely ends in less than glorious circumstances. I wonder what the internet spaceships equivalent of a drainage pipe is? I'd stay away from those if I were you.

Yeah i think you're giving the MD Elite thing a little too much thought. Just fun idea of old respected ppl in the community. Regardless of actual business or things they've done for the community. Just a bunch of old hoggies that the frequenters all know and respect.

The term MD elite should be dead.

MD Elite really used to mean that these people were 'rain makers'.
With any of their approvals an IPO/Bond could be launched, and also if any of them dumped on a new IPO/Bond it would fail.


People no longer really have that power (as most Elites anded up scamming), and people make up their own minds as well.


There are also not as many people on the new forums for a core group to be elite. It is the same crowd in every post. Just look at the post numbers and views vs. old forum, and how long it takes for a subject to get off the first page.

I think any "MD elite" list will always be incredible subjective - Ie. the list of people, people "instinctively" think of as "those people".
Hell would freeze over before any consensus would occur P

Doesn't even get better if you try and be a bit more objective with categories like raw suggested.

Whenever someone makes such an "MD elite" list - The one thing they have in common, as far as I can tell, is:

- It's someone, from the OP's POV, who have made a positive and lasting impression on them by their posting in MD.

This being 1 or 50 posts, hilarious or well thought ought/researched post, ISK making or ISK losing posts - and probably a number of other categories, depending on the OP in question.
The point still being, they've somehow managed to make a positive and lasting impression on the OP.
And as mentioned - That's about as subjective as it can ever be, thus it always leeds to a bit of bickering over why some should or shouldn't be on the list Lol

So there have never been long a standing member of MD that was respected by a large number of people within the MD community?

The beasts exist.

Were not talking about the illuminati here, its just a small respected group of players. Nothing more then some added respect.
