I saw this coming when I gave up on the Beta when it was going to take 6 hours to download....after waiting 2 hours already.

Simcity was all downhill after the original.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Yet another classic franchise destroyed by EA's incompetence and greed. Sad

Good thing there is plenty of good mods for SC4.

By their responses it is almost as if this is supposed to be a part of the game experience.

They just really are not acknowledging a problem at all.

Really scary tbh.

I'm surprised that many people given EA's reputation actually bought it? It had clusterf*ck written all over it.

I know it's a long awaited sequel to a much loved series of games, but when have EA ever successfully pulled that off?

I earlier stated that I saw this coming during the Beta, but I REALLY saw it coming a few YEARS before that when they announced this release method.

edit: This belongs somewhere beyond incompetence.

I'm sure they hope that this is opening week nonsense that will clear up like when Diablo III launched.

Except EA is no Blizzard. EA is the reason I've not touched Mass Effect 3.

Yeah, it's kinda depresing watching one of your favorite games die to greed and paranoia (about pirating...which is why they chose this distribution method anyway).

Thank YOU, CCP, for NOT doing this.

All those issues with the new Sim City have an easy solution... well, not just one, but six easy solutions.

I can't help feel DRM will turn out to be counter productive if people who pirated the game have an easier time playing the game than those who bought itWhat?

I guess they are solutions from the standpoint of not giving the SimCity developers any money ever again.

I can only see this ending with a bunch of hearty back-slaps and a CEO dismissal with a 124 M Dollar Golden Parachute.

And playing/paying city sim games that actually work.

Well, as a petty spectator it always pleases me to see EA raked over the coals. With the download version now yanked from Amazon [not before earning a heavily meta'd 1/5 customer rating] I'm wondering how they will top themselves next.

I remember when I bought Beasts & Bumpkins, brand new in the store and the EA label on the box was a mark of good quality.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.
