My Dominix Caught Fire after passing 236 Million m/s

How do you even GET EVE to screenshot properly, anyway? Whenever I try, it just takes a shot of whatever firefox was left on.

OK, so you flew your Domi to a star, took a pic, did a poor Photoshop job, then make a stupid claim...

Keep in mind that your Domi warps 3 AU/s, or 149,597,870,700±3 m x3 per sec...

-Edit-
Expect a public and a very expensive Internal bounty, and every miner I gank this weekend will be because of this thread, and I'll make sure the "victims" know it...

Windows:
Simply press "Print Screen" on your keyboard. The screenshots are saved in a folder named "Eve\capture\Screenshots" within the "My Documents" folder on Windows XP and "Documents" on Windows Vista and later.

Macintosh:
Full screen:
Press Command button + SHIFT + 3
Windowed mode:
Press Command button + SHIFT + 4 and select the EVE Online Window
The screenshots will be saved on your Desktop
If you do not want to see the user interface (chats, menus etc.) on a screenshot, you can toggle it on and off by pressing CTRL + F9.

Jesus... how old are those screenshots?

If EVE had been around that long I'd ask if they were from 1996.

2-3 years old.

I've got a bookmark inside a sun (in a highsec system) from several years ago. IIRC, I named the bookmark "Satan's porch". I wonder if it's still valid or if CCP nerfed it somehow. I considered warping to it in a freighter, but was concerned the freighter wouldn't slow down to maneuvering speed before downtime.

Not a Photoshop job at all. Have you not ever been bumped by a POS shield before? If you took the time to read some of my responses to the other posters in this thread you would know how i did this.

As to the warp speed comment, A warp bubble in practice (imaginary, fictional or otherwise) Protects a ship from cosmic dust, debris and meteoroids. Anyways the Head line is to catch your attention, peek your interest, give you a laugh. It isn't my fault that you alone seem to be the one that doesn't understand what is going on in the screen shot when so many others do or don't care that they do not.

I have a Bookmark, you could try it for yourself, but meh your response was not very constructive, so for you, the bookmark will cost 2 billion isk. Twisted

Edit: LoL at the 2.5 mil bounty you have placed on me.

You have to get to within 85km of the stars celestial marker [Bracket], this distance can only be measured by the tactical overlay, To be bumped from the star. So if your Bookmark is in the star but still very far from the center you would be fine.

I *did* fly an Orca into it a few months back. I think it took something 15 minutes before it slowed to maneuvering speed. I bet I have the screenshot on my other computer at my house.

Drop a bookmark as you pass through a sun. Warp to it, and burn straight up or down. Get ejected at ludicrous speed.

Then punch yourself in the face.

Yeah the Orca takes a long time to stop. If you try to warp back to the bookmark then cancel then try to warp cancel you can make the Orca flip and turn and fly sideways If you don't cancel it will fly backwards.

So you don't have to be at absolute zero distance from the center?
How close do you have to be?

OK looks like I made a mistake I was thinking my overlay went only to 100km but it goes to 200km so the Bookmark is around 175 km from the bracket and slightly above. You can land on my BM and not get bumped until you move in smaller ships.

To get a BM in a star you need to warp from one point a station or planet through the star to another point, and create a Bookmark mid flight. do this from both directions. So you warp from a station through star create a bm, then warp back to that bm from a star gate of another station and create another bm in flight. to get 2 points closer and closer to each other on either side of the star. If you are lucky you only have to do it a few times, but it gets easier as the 2 points get closer because your warp speed will decrease the closer the points are making it easier to get a bm in the place you want it to be.

Same Idea as making off plane safe spots in null and low sec. Then you can get a mwding nano fit interceptor and fly towards the grey dot and drop bms as you go. I used my overlay to keep track of how close i was and drop bms, and then when i got kicked out i would go back go slower and try to get a bm even closer using my overlay as a guide to when i may hit the barrier and get kicked.

Here is a picture, Zoomed out at max looking down with overlay and markers to help you see the overlay.

In my case, it was the result of probing out a pod that was in the sun. Some years ago there was a peculiar bug that would sometime emergency warp logged off pods to the sun.
