Well guys, we've had plenty of hisec bear tears and even more null sec bear tears so It's only right we all get some juicy pirate tears to clogg the forums for a while.

Totally agree with the OP.

Lock da biatches out of Hi sec.

I actually, I'm game for locking null bears out too tbh.

No. Why should a player be restricted from open space because of his sec status? I'm pretty much as anti pirate as the next highsec player, but if someone wants to go -10 they should still be allowed to go where-ever they want.

Eve is a dangerous place, and that needs to be drilled into every players head when they start Eve. If you get complacent then you die, and that's the service that pirates who gank provide.

Why not just make high sec the lush and plush lala land with endless ressources, free factory slots for everyone and duels the only way to shoot other players.

As next step I'd suggest to make all gates leading out of high sec one way gates (even the wormholes) so once You leave You can never go back.

Fun for the whole family.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

And to simplify traffic control can move the person to the appropriate security the next time they log in.

Besides what is wrong with ratting?
You make ISK while doing it and unless you get stuck in one system (to which I will say plan better and bla blah I'll take all your stuff, yes), you can get your sec status back in 2 days of minor work or a few hours if serious.
Also dont you guys already work primarily in .5 sec, go after even fewer targets due to buffs and now global flags, and bump now because you cant find something better to make people rage over for 17.50 a month?
Like getting really good at a COD game and listen to the sweet sweet vulgar tears of those you crush?

Have you ever ratted back up from -10? It's the most soul crushing grind in the game. I'm not saying it should be easy to get back up, it's good that it's hard, but it's hardly the '2 days minor work', more like 5 days of hours and hours of ratting in a loop of systems that takes about 15 minutes to kill 1 BS rat in each (the most optimal way to gain sec status)

I think this would be a great idea if the grind to regain sec status would be more reasonable.

Now with 100% less Troll.

This thread is exactly what I mean when I refer to carebear vs. industrialist mentality.

Industrialist looks at problem, suicide gankers. Industrialist goes "How can I solve this problem, or better yet, exploit it for my own good?" Industrialist stays ATK, pays attention to local, warps off when a scout cuddles up to him....and builds replacement ships for the gankers and other miners to buy.

The carebear looks at the problem and goes "How can CCP fix this problem for me so I don't have to think?" We then get ideas like "Prohibit outlaws from using highsec jump gates because ~consequences~."

Please, can we have less carebears, and more industrialists?

but without carebears, suicide gankers would be unemployed.

This is against "freedom of movement for everybody", which is a core principle of the game, so no.

The idea is good, as long as criminals has other ways to get into and move in (hisec) systems (smugglers gates or something).

OP has an excellent idea.

And to expand on this, high-sec missions should be limited to characters younger than 2 months and high-sec belts are all behind an acceleration gate with a frigate size limit.

Obviously, no pirate faction, deadspace or officer items would be allowed in hi-sec either.

Well.... T2 items might be allowed, but of coursed they'd have to be licensed, registered and, naturally because we're being realistic in this thread, heavily taxed.

Or maybe we can make the only ships able to fly in high sec mining ships and haulers with no way to fit any kind of weapon at all.

But wait - what about the poor asteroids - they have no defense as those ruthless miners destroy them over and over again.

Nerf High Sec Mining - the asteroids have no way to defend themselves!

Speaking of realistic, how realistic is it really that private entities are allowed to own, operate, and arm several battleships in civilised space? Owning anything bigger than a corvette seems rather absurd unless it's very old and you're some kind of historical society. If you are, I suppose you can take it for one tour around the planet a day to wow the tourists, and maybe fire a full broad-side of blanks.
