Anybody else noticed the trend on this chart of R.A.M.- Hybrid Technology

There is a similar but not quite as extreme trend for all Faction T3 Decryptors.

I would like to thank those who tried to push the price down, but only succeeded in providing me and others with cheap stock.

Jerry,

thank you but you give me more credit than I deserve.

I do wish I could consistently move a mult billion, mult-hub market up 300% for a 8 weeks and with out the aid of EN24 would mark me out as a market genius.

The reality is that supply has remained static and demand has increased.

While the supply has remained relatively static, I find that unlikely. However I think we have probably reached a point of diminishing increases, the downward side of the bell curve of static supply. All the low hanging fruit have gone, the mid level fruit is going and all that is left is the less easy farked.

The increase in demand is much more interesting, with two possible 'obvious' explanations are the increase in BC cost has lowered the barrier to upgrade to T3 and possible fleet doctrine changes toward T3.

a bc and a t3 is 2 different things, its like saying i prefer to tackle in a daredevil, but a thorax will do.

fleet doctrine stuff, boosters etc, with no major nullsec conflict going on is unlikely also

thats why i thought it was a manip thread, sorry.

im thinking ancient aliens guy here, but what if there was a high-end wh cartel that controlled sleeper loot? call it t3c and have the mailing list guy run it, the numbers in his name would probs be a selling point

The introduction of the Venture and its success at ninja gas harvesting in wormholes should push other T3 components up as gas prices come down and more T3s get made.

Of course as this increase was predictable once it was clear how effective the new gas miner was it's possible that people reasoned out a price spike in advance and speculated. So the spike could exceed the natural causative effect.

In other words now that we know about the spike it's probably too late to bandwagon.

your implying the gas wouldn't have been harvested before the new frigate. i see where you are going with it, but i doubt it. you can ninja harvest in any ship after all.

I think what OP is getting at, is that the radar spawns have reached near flat(static) levels of supply, which is something I agree with, over any gas linked effect.

Could this be due to the rumour that a 1000 new w-space systems may be added to the game this summer?

Any colour you like.

1) Market Marker buys and holds large quantites of stock, causing artificially Increased demand.
2) Supply generally stays level at this point.
3) Market Marker spreads rumors of Low supply for said item in numerous subtle ways.
4) the rumor coupled with the fake demand causes prices to increase quickly.
5) Market Marker continue with his fake demand position.
6) Small players see a big opertunity in the item that will never stop rising and buy in big time......
7) More small players see sucess of other small players and add to the snow ball.
8) Market maker removes his artifical demand and allows the little guys to hold his fake demand position.
9) Market Marker leaks his stock to little guys.
9a) optional extra, Market Maker goes to MD with graph showing ever increasing prices in the hopes some other market guy falls into the opertunity at the worst possible moment <<<<<<------------We are here? NO?
10) Little guys realise the item price floor just dissapeared and price is tracking
11) Little guys panic sell to avoid bigger losses as the price will never stop falling.........
12) Market maker buys his stuff back cheaper.
13) rince and repeat.
