Wait a minute. It had what I described as the "expected result" yesterday. It would select which stacks to move by starting with the smallest in volume. And right now it does work that way when moving stuff to containers, like a small standard container. Its just broken with moving stuff into ship cargo bays.

Check again please.

Hi, I followed up on this and investigated a bit more and you are correct, my apologies for this. Created a defect. It appears we may have changed this as a result of another fix.

+1
Finally a developer who stand corrected if did a mistake.

Well we are human, after all.

Riiight. So it worked before. You wrote a patch and didn't bother to test the patch. Then you publish that you fixed something that wasn't broken in the first place. Now it's broken. Wow. It isn't about being human, it's about not giving a **** enough to bother checking in the first place. Tsk tsk.

So, yeah, it's still broken. If the plan for new and old player retention is to make customers move items individually, you have an interesting marketing strategy.

Hi,

My nickname was magically changed from "FieldMarshall ROMMEL" to "Amarr Citizen 89798766031" Shocked

I would love to change my nickname, but I think this is really a bad change :p

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erwin_Rommel

Clearly it was found offensive. Petition it if you like.

Edit: If you bought the character, they might be willing to change it for you, otherwise probably not.

Edit: Then again, despite his having been a **** officer, he was never accused of war crimes and is described as being a humane and professional officer. So really changing your name was about as justified as if it had been General Patton.

Edit: Seriously? The word is censored? I guess CCP never heard about the whole covering up history thing...

Right, but it's ok for some ass to have sregginetahi as a name, which is "I hate niggers", backwards.

It gives players more options, and makes the game more consistent, without introducing anything that we regard as a "serious balance issue". We totally recognize that the Prowler is now superior to the other BRs in certain very specific circumstances, and as CCP Fozzie has noted elsewhere it's something that we expect to revisit at some point, but in the meantime we feel that having at least the option to trade your COCDII for a CCFGI on a non-Minmatar BR (say, if you feel a large cargohold is more important than a COCDII for the specific job you need doing) is better than not having that option.

with the greatest respect, due to all the balancing changes that you made to battlecruisers, do you not realise how ludicrous your above statement is?

My thoughts exactly....

Well, read the name in the quotes . . . "Greyscale". He doesn't play Eve, and based on his past performance, the answer to your question is obviously, "NO".

LOL, wow!!! So while I was waiting for singularity to update so I could test the "supposed" fixes to all the lag, I read through all the pages. What an amazing array of problems you've "patched" into an already perma-beta game! It's amazing that CCP is so arrogant that it tests nothing and expects CUSTOMERS to come up with work-arounds to their mistakes. Here's a small list of mine though:

- updater (virus) errors out on the executable it opens up. Fix: CCP hires competent coders to fix an issue that has been around for 5 months or more. 2nd part of this fix is to hire competent managers that actually ensure the coders are competent and doing their job.
- Eve client uses nearly 2x the cpu it used to and 50 to 100mb more ram
- overview doesn't update
- ships don't warp and dock. This has been the standard since the inventory virus was updated months ago
- ships don't warp and dock. This has also been present since the inventory virus was patched in.
- drag and drop doesn't work, and typically, a dev-who-can,t-be-bothered called it a "feature". Wow.
- UI Update: "stack all" needs to be renamed to "stack something random, maybe". I don't remember how long ago it was that one click of "stack all" automagically stacked and sorted EVERYTHING, in one shot. Now, you hammer it 5 or 6 times and it MIGHT get everything. Lemme guess though, this is a "feature" right??
- fleet, corp, local and alliance tabs don't update. You can have a corp member in fleet and they show up white in the chat, but hey, DUST mercs are blue, EVERY TIME! That's important . . .
- more than half the time, when dragging ore/modules from the orca's ore, fleet or cargo hold to one another, it explains that it can't do the operation because the orca's cargo hold is too far away from the orca's ore hold. This is months old, since the virus inventory update too. I know. Feature.
- ships are doing an indicated half speed, while sitting there, not moving, with engines off
- freighters magically undock with symmetrical half damage to shields, armour AND hull, that never repairs
- targeted ships and/or asteroids randomly resort themselves, even when the ship or asteroids are completely motionless

There's more, but I'm going to go test the "patch" on singularity now, and then likely go play a game that actually works. All these standard bag-o-hammer problems that CCP adds, almost every patch, are proof positive that CCP can't be bothered to play their own game. Liekly because they know what the customers know - the devs do a lousy job at quality control.

Sound issues.
Me and other players in my corp have popping noises appearing after the latest patch.

The client blue screens my windows 7 x64 client - that NEVER happened before in 3 years. This also happens to at least one other player in my corp when running more than one client.

Its hard to give you guys a log when the whole computer blue screens ;(

Hail L

Hail is an attempt to combine the penetration of titanium sabot with the versatility of a depleted uranium shell. It has tremendous damage potential, but should not be used at long ranges. Any pilot using this ammunition should be prepared to trade optimal range, falloff range, and tracking speed for a devastating amount of damage.

25% reduced falloff.
50% reduced optimal range.
30% reduced tracking speed.

Note: Hail ammunition can only be used by small tech level II Autocannons.

16:05:19 Notify You cannot load Advanced Autocannon Ammo into a 250mm Light Artillery Cannon II, this module needs to be loaded with Advanced Artillery Ammo, Projectile Ammo.

Found a discrepancy, large ammo doesn't fit in a small cannon.

Problem 1:
Keyboard commands don't work in space. Except when they randomly do. Problem is repeatable but random.

e.g. Select an asteroid within range, press "G" for goto, either nothing happens at all, or you see the "Align target" text, or the craft actually goes to the asteroid. All outcomes are possible.

Same with all keyboard commands in space, e.g. Jump, Dock, etc. I have not tested using all default commands since I don't use them.

Naturally, this causes loss of craft in critical situations. Workaround is mouse clicking the "Selected Item" action boxes, which partly works.

[EDIT]
I understand some of the problems I described were by design, apparently. But they are so inconsistently applied it makes it almost impossible not to use the mouse - but when you use the mouse as well, for example to move the camera, the commands no longer apply!

A prime example is the difference between the ship engine commands, which work all the time, no matter which window is focused, and the orientation and object interaction commands, which only work when one of two particular windows has focus, even though the target has already been selected and has been highlighted, both on-screen and in the window!

If I wish my ship to orientate itself around an object, even when that object is in a non-focused window (and no other window has focus), I expect the command to work, not tell me to pick a target simply because the only window in the display has lost focus because I've had to reorient my ship. I've already picked a target! It's selected in the overview and the target icon is locked. It's targeted, in other words.

Sigh. I apologise for thinking the keyboard interface was broken, when in fact it just doesn't work logically.

Regardless of how the keyboard command idiosyncrasies affect my enjoyment of and playability of the game, the remaining problems are, in fact, real.
[/EDIT]

Problem 2:
Mouse cursor info over "Selected Item" actions does not reflect actual key assignments. Brackets are empty for everything except commands left as default.

Problem 3:
Mouse cursor info when clicking actions in the "Selected Items" action boxes shows invalid commands. e.g. selected item is a dockable station, click "Dock", but the info flyover says "That action is not possible on asteroids" or similar. This happens even when the selected item is an asteroid and the action is valid, e.g. goto, or when the item is an enemy craft and the action is valid, e.g. keep at distance. The action is performed correctly just the info flyover says the wrong thing and has empty brackets for the key.

Potential Problem 4:
There is no "Launch Drones" command, while there are commands for everything else to do with drones.

Apologies if I'm using incorrect terminology or this has been reported.

System is PC Win7 x64, NVidia GeForce 560, fullscreen

I had a bug with the HUD yesterday where I was taking damage in my stiletto, but the HUD didn't display any of it, I only noticed because of the notifications and sound. After I relogged I could see I was 25% into hull...

Tracking Camera offset is re-centered after docking. I need to reconfigure the Tracking Camera position in space after every undock. Small but annoying. Never had the issue before now.

I have many issues with EVE since the latest update: often when I try to dock nothing happens and I have to restart the game. When I log back in I'll find myself docked.

Hadn't these problems before, I use the Mac client.

seems that 213-152.250-250.Pcu259.above.net [213.152.240.25] is the issue. out of every 5 traces i run one goes imto the 200 ms range.

this is annoying since its ccp's T1 provider.
