How can you honestly make that op when the most standard of functions have been taken away?

Skinny hard to read forums with a fix "ctrl mouseclick", or a 3rd party browser app for something that was never required before.

But yes the intergration with Evegate seems to be working, although I don't really see the point in it all?

Forum functions? lol

As a forum user of many, many years, I despise bandwidth busters that don't add to the CONTENT which is the bit I actually come to read .

Ok, but seeing as you have had to already accuse people of being "whiners and trolls" for not agreeing with your opinion, don't you think the removal of these functions (we aren't asking for something that wasn't there before) is against the general forum populations opinions?

There's not much point in saying "who cares about the forum warriors", when they are in fact the people using the forums.

Why is it everytime you speak you claim to represent "other users"?

As I said, and I'll say again, the SAME whiners and moaners whine and moan REGARDLESS of what CCP do. That's their role in life.

For mine, you want to argue with me, think what I did as the OP. I posted that *I like* the forum. I further posted I'd like to keep it fast by dumping all the crap I see on every website these days.

But yet again, the same whiners and moaners jump on to refute MY opinion with repeats of everything they have whined about everywhere else already. Over and over and over......

Show a little fortitude and move on a bit further than gutter sniping every goddam post.

Instead of giving Eve forums that no one requested and a space to walk around in that everyone disables, how about..

Real content and balance?

Nah, that would be too easy.

I dont

I'm sure I don't have to link the large number of threads with people who have issues with the forums.

In fact, look at your own thread. How many agree with you?

Hell yeah! I really can't understand what features everyone is missing from the old forums. Oh is it perhaps the requirement to log in every time you want to make a post, or maybe how obsolete it was? If you want to post funny pictures, **** off to 4chan or whatever other hellhole you came from.

No one is saying new forums weren't needed. like you said logging in all the time, no search function. But take a look at this post here, which were issues outlined to CCP before the release of the forums initally. How many of them were even considered by CCP?

Sure, they're ok.

So were the old forums.

And that's the whole problem: six months and eight iterations and the result is only “ok”, which is no better than what was left behind. That's not really an ok expenditure of time and resources. For everything that these forums do better, there is at least one thing they also do worse. So nothing has really changed; there is no net improvement.

During all that time, none of the feedback has actually been used, and none of the lost functionality has been restored. This is particularly glaring considering it took the community a matter of hours to code locally injected fixes to some of the issues. None of that should be needed, and it most certainly shouldn't take so much time and so many iterations to fail to fix the same thing server-side.

And what, for all that, the "missing functionality" is what, the same list that Anzac paul posted? That's all fluff, not function.

The forum as a whole runs quick, looks good and works well with some great features. Half the things you guys are asking for got nerfed off the best forums 15 years ago.

The lack of fluff is what get's my vote. It's a forum about Eve, not a gallery for bouncing cats and smoking gun type gfx.

No ****, after the utter fail of the first "roll out" one would think they'd have done some serious retrospection and put in some real work on this.

Well I suppose we should be happy that they didn't release them on a Friday this time.

Guess they do learn some lessons eventually.
