Anyone else here with a Stealth Bomber looking forward to utterly obliterating the new Tier 3 Battlecruisers with Stealth bombers ?

Large Guns with worse tracking than mediums and softer tank than BS = happy stealth bombers.

Large guns have few problems hitting stealth bombers, if you have a brain, you can manually reduce transversal.

That depends - most people don't have a brain, and I'm thinking specifically low sec where AB fit is often prevalent for frigs rather than MWD.

I would like to think that with the extra speed it wouldnt be to hard to pull out of transversal aand volly a lowly SB

I think the Oracle's going to have a field day with Stealth Bombers if it plugs Scorch in.

I don't know, looking at the leaked stats the SB might have more ehp. Not sure about flying a big ole paper thin ship no matter how good it looksor how big it's gun are.

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

Don't forget stealth bombers might be getting tech 2 bomb launchers. Using the new BCs in nullsec is definitely gonna be a terrible idea. Since I'm training for a stealth bomber myself, I'm getting a kick out of this.

This is what we like to call a target-rich environment.

Seems to me AFs, Faction Frigates and the gankier Interceptors will make great counters to these things. Everone will be so thrilled to fit a full rack of large guns, neuts hopefully won't be too common. And assuming the rumored stats stay roughly the same, only the Gallente one will have any drones, and then only a single flight of lights. As long as you don't get alpha'd closing the distance, speed tanking should be easy.

Battleship (close range) weapons have similiar tracking to 720mm Artillery Hurricanes and they have no problem tracking frigates if you know what you're doing right (even solo vs Interceptors).

Also, these new Battlecruisers are significantly faster than any current Battlecruiser. For example, the "alpha version" of the Tornado is about as fast as a shield Zealot with no nanos.

Close range weapons(BS close range. so what, 30km or so?) on a glass cannon. Doable, but watch them go pop to medium arty and above. If the figures in the dump are anything to go by, these are going to only be a little tankier than a t1 cruiser.

Don't let the lower hp fool you, tier 3 bcs are significantly faster and with lower sig compared to other bcs, or even cruisers. Tornado has a base speed of 225m/s, compared to cane's 165, Vexor's 159 and Vegabound's 239, etc. "Glass cannon" gives the mistaken impression that they're easier to kill, not harder.

You're right that most people don't have a brain, but if you fit an AB to your stealth bomber instead of an MWD you're one of them (barring a ridiculously small number of specialized fits). Unless you have a specialized gang comp SB's are just free kills for the opposition, and there are plenty of more effective counters to these new BC's.

I highly doubt these are going to be solo ships like the hurricane and drake often are. these ships have significant advantages when compared to current battlecruisers, longer range, higher dps, higher speeds. they are going to be perfect when used with ships that are fit to provide frig defense. get five or six of these new ships and through a curse in the middle, no frig will threaten them as long as the curse is alive and the new battlecruiser can quickly destroy any larger ships headed in their direction through superior firepower.
