Not bad, works pretty well, I prefer this mashup though.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Note to self: resurrect Freddie Mercury and make him cover that mash up. And have these guys as backup singers[1].

I'm not sure if I like it or not.

But it is making me remember when they opened for the Jesus and Mary Chain in 1989 at a small 200 person club in Houston. Absolutely none of us had a clue as to they were or what we were about to hear. One record store had 3 copies of "Pretty Hate Machine" unsold after a week.

I repeat: we had no idea who NIN was at all.

And out they came pounding their way through "Head Like a Hole" and for the next hour nobody could even begin to look away. I've never ever seen such a reaction to an opening act.

Unfortunately for the Jesus and Mary Chain, they couldn't live up to that kind of power and most of the audience had left about halfway through their set.

I bought one of those 3 copies of the album the next day.

Never book an opening act that is better than you

i would have loved to see them then. but, alas, i was two years old in '89 lol. i didn't see nin in concert until 2005 "beside you in time" tour or w/e awesomely pretentious name he came up for it that time. saw them several times since. my favorite being the simply amazing "light's in the sky" tour. though a close runner up would be the "farewell" tour. very intimate ballroom setting. the entirety of "the downward spiral" played live in the set.

trent said they were done after that run. but...

...apparently they are not.
