What are your favourite bits of music from the video games you have played?

It may not come as a surprise but my favourite is this:

Arrow Metal Gear Solid 2 Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiPon8lr48U

With my second favourite just cutting short

Arrow Grim Fandango Companeros: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jT4A-MSQgoI

I'm also very fond of the Legend of Zelda music and Mass Effect! What about you?

The level up song from old school Final Fantasy games. I've been programmed like Pavlov's dog to automatically be happy every time I hear it.

SimCity 4's soundtrack is amazing. This stuff i can still listen to without the game. Seriously, it's awesome! It's pretty cool you can hear some of those tunes in the civ stage in Spore.

Total Annihilation should be noted as the "breakthrough performance" of Jeremy Soule.

FX Fighter Turbo - A very underground game, one of the early 3D fighters and one of the first games with hardware acceleration (all hail the S3 Virge!) - though it was pretty bad, really. The soundtrack though, is still really, really good.

Diablo 2's music is quite haunting and should not be forgotten: One of those things that made the game what it was.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Well that one's easy. To the Moon obviously. They blew all their money on music and then made the game with RPG maker. The game has no choice but stand on story and music alone. Which it manages.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

I have never had the unique feeling i got from playing wipeout 2097 back when it came out. Still havent seen a game or tv show that have put together a better soundtrack up to this date. WE HAVE EXPLOSIVES!!!!
