Sharing trade secrets

It depends on the secret and the market.

I share trade secrets to a few of my close in game friends if i know that the market is big enough to handle the extra investment without effecting me. This is generally around speculation time, but is also true for some of my regular trading activities. For example; I spend about 30 minutes a month on 1 character to make around 1bn isk for that character and have helped friends get into the same item as I know that the market is big enough.

Regular trading tips, I will share with any acquaintance. This is generally things like buying item X in such and such system couriering it to another character in Jita and selling for profit. I don;t really care about that as i am not in those markets any more and it's too much hassle for me for too little isk.

When i have invested in a market and believe/hope it will go up in value, I will share with anyone and everyone and try to be one of the earliest in dumping my stocks.

I dont do any isk on tradeing. Why? Just cant seem to figure it out.

But about trade secrets.If you disclose specific item, its not very good secret. why? Becouse things can change.. Eves market is living thing with mind of its own. Whats brings profit today, might bring loss tomorrow.

I have tryed to learn general principles and how to readmarket history, etc.. maybe one day i learn how to spot good deal.. But untill then i keep on practising..

As bad boddy put it,hes made profit on disclosinginformation.. Thats what i have learned readind MD as well. If someone mentions specific item, they usually has interest on it selling at higher price...

Arbitrage in T2 items with opportunities 8%+ is great for .01isking.

Once you have a few levels of margin trading and a few bill in your NAV, diversify your portfolio by jumping into faction and officer mods. Just stay away from the items that have 4-5+ sell orders being updated within a 10 min interval.

Once you conquer the above and can afford some big losses + TVM holding costs, start buying mins/etc. for month long intervals and kick your purchases on the upswing.

Following this you should be in a pretty good swing of things in which case I recommend small market manipulation attempts + squeezing the margins on commonly traded items just to have some fun.

Oh, and make sure to turn on that little setting that turns your buy/sell orders green.

I have four freighter V pilots available to me, but usually just use courier contracts. The only time I use my own freighters is when I need something moved quickly.

Same here , 90 % of my stuff is done by courier .

Nearly all my trading alts fly freighters regularly. I love these ships.

My industrial alt army are all freighter & jump freighter pilots, partly because they are so useful for running stuff around and partly because you soon run out of other skills to train on them. But still I put everything I can through couriers, so the only things I move myself are things that are time critical, super high value, non-courierable or that need to be delivered to a POS. I'm hoping that in any POS revamp that CCP does they add an anchorable delivery point to POSes so that couriers can be set to those too.

That's brave. I usually hit the abort button after trembling in fear for a good 10 minutes

I'm not a low-sec roamer, i just need to blow off some steam every now and then.

3 freighters, use 2 almost daily, 3rd is if needed, gets used maybe 2x a week.

I dont use couriers much, unless its a contract i grabbed around jita, that i'm looking to kick on for a profit.
