Are there any plans to re-implement the lovely shwah-shwah-shwah hypnotic sound of Ice miners working away peacefully?

I was stalking a target the other day and was disappointed not to be able to hear that wonderful sound. Instead I was greeted with silence.

I can understand CCP wanting to 'improve' the game, even when they get that wrong; but why do CCP feel the need to go to the effort of removing perfectly good content and put nothing in it's place?

Shame.

They have yet to make a decent white noise that can repeat for more than a few minutes without driving me nuts. And I love white noise to sleep by.
Shield reps, armor reps, miners, ship idle. All of them drive me nuts in short order. Nothing is soothing to listen to other than maybe the new map ambiance.

I usually listen to two steps from hell when playing EVE so I suspect I will be in the.. unpopular by popular group. The anti popular of EVE? How ever that works here on the forums.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

As a hisec carebear myself, I fully support the letter of Lady Spank's argument: we need the old ice harvesting sounds back. The "new" sound makes all mining lasers sound the same. I'd also like the old ice harvester graphic back: a flowing blue stream, rather than the current sharply defined laser beams (after all, we're moving vast quantities of ice by vaporising it, transferring it through a laser containment field and then re-condensing it in the mining barge's ore bay).

Even the gankers need audio-visual gratification.

I totally agree with Lady Spanks suggestion that ICE mining needs to be removed from the game.

He made some very well thought out points about ICE mining removal that *must* be addressed.

I thought the only sound Ice Miners made was WAAAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAAAAAAAA...or maybe that was just what was in local...

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Was kind of hoping the mining noises would be replaced by the sounds of ice miners crying as the price of ice/isotopes drops steadily... none of this "waaaaaaa" stuff, but the best quality melodrama with bloodshot eyes and wailing.

Oh well... still plenty of time for that. Twisted

Every time I try to Ice mine my wife tells me that there is a horrible load noise coming from my computer room.

Of course she tells me this when I wake upLol

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Do this. It would be a boost to ganking. If ice mining itself won't cause you to fall asleep in your computer chair, adding in the old sound surely will.
