How is everyone calculating th total value of thir character?

I am thinking cash on hand. + total value of sell orders + total value of buy orders + total value of items in all hangers.

Is that correct?

Thanks for your answers ahead of time.

Liquid cash in wallet + escrow + sell orders

also note that the sell orders are only unrealized gains. and are subject to change.

I think for a comprehensive analysis of real total value, you'd have to consider:

Cash on hand + (value of assets - value of ships you fly regularly) + (buy-order value of items currently in sell-orders) + cash in escrow for buy orders + value of other people's assets and isk you have access to + amount of isk you can get on credit.

Now, granted the average honest person wouldn't ruthlessly utilize all of this wealth, as they'd burn their bridges and their conscience might get to them, but I think that's beside the point if you want to calculate a real value.

The character itself has a value too.

This is something that a lot of people I've discussed NAV valuations with tend to miss out. It does not matter if you have no intention of selling the character. Just the same as a BPO you have no intention of selling still has value and should be considered in your NAV.

If, as many do, you pay for your subscription with PLEX you may choose to account for that PLEX somewhere in your profit calculations. If you do this and you do not also account for the increasing value of your character, then you will be underestimating your profits.

Bad Bobbies NAV = All the isk and items in eve (-isk and items in my characters wallet).

Justification is if he hasn't scammed it with one of his alts yet he's working on it Big smile

Your character sale value isn't redeemable unless you plan on getting a different character or starting over, which is pretty drastic, but I wouldn't say you're wrong.

What do any of those things have to do with your character?
The value of your character is based on your skills of course. (and standings / other feats)

Yes, Sorry. I did mean net worth. I am trying to find out if I am making isk or not. If I am what amounts.

Just didn't know how to calculate it.

WOW sorry didn't realize my spelling was that bad. I am typing too fast. :(

Thanks again

I think I once played with EVE HQ(?) which had a module that calculated your NAV.

Much of my assets are in a corp hangar, so they don't show as belonging to any character. Same goes for any POS.

Just go get a copy of jeveassets http://eve.nikr.net/jeveasset & https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=6419 and you are set.

Especially now since they have a tracker which makes a pretty graph of yer NAV + all it's components.

Like Bobby said;

Isk in escrow + Isk in wallet + value of what all your assetts will realistically sell for + value of what your characters would sell for (They ARE an assett, that you can sell, exchange, downgrade and upgrade from, just like a ship.) + any funds owed to you.

Save yourself the trouble though, get evehq or jeeves.
