HML nerf is too damm high.

Missiles are fine.

The caldari ships got nerf bat pretty hard.

Come on CCP are you serious , caldari main weapon system is missiles but they can only use kinetic ones?This is no fun , using missile boats before was fun it had that unknown factor of what dmg u have loaded, now a days every one knows a drake will use kinetic because if u switch to other dmg types will damage will drop like 30 % overall.

My drakes does 360 dps with caldari navy scourge but when i switch to Caldari navy nova bang dps is 245.

Lets be serious here a caracal with decent skills will do more dmg with em/thermal/explosive then drake.

Why didn't u removed that kinetic dmg bonus from drake and replaced it with a 10% to drones dmg or an 10% reduction to cap use for MWD..... at least that way we would've got a bonus that's actually useful.

1. I wasn't aware anyone prevented you from using other missile types
2. Fly a Caracal - there, you can choose your missile now and do equal damage with any. Want a missile BC that can choose missile and do equal damage? Check the Cyclone.
3. A Drake with that kinetic bonus can squeeze out just shy of 900 damage. That's pretty impressive for a battlecruiser, even if locked just to one damage type.

Missiles are fine. Caldari ships are fine. It's just that Drake is not the only damn ship worth flying anymore. Win-win. :)

Medium LR turrets, all V's, no ship bonuses, T1 long range ammo to reach HML range:

HML II: 22 dps / 186 volley max 62.9km
250mm II: 13 dps / 57 volley 58+15km
Heavy Beam Laser II: 13 dps / 57 volley 48+10km
720mm II: 11 dps / 151 volley 48+22km

winner: HML II

it wasnt recent, they made HMLs to be on par with the long range weaponry which was the original intention while HAMs are better now despite the shorter range, they can hit targets easier cause sig radious explosion velocity and explosion radious skills apply to "dumb" unguided missles which as a knock on made torp golems UBER for pve.

all i can suggest is adapt and thrive.

It was 10%, as far as I remember.

I use HMLs almost exclusively on this character and I don't see a problem.

Its not an all in one weapons solution anymore.

Missile spammers got used to not picking our sr or lr weapons before heading out and living with the choice till dead, carrier refit swap, or they came home. Now they lost that option for the most part, in their minds anyway.

CN ammo still looks good in the launchers. Its not arty muninn spam of doom....but if arty muninn fails to kill something and it gets nice and close and fast even its tracking bonus can be lacking.

Now I have fun time in drakes with tacklers whose back was slow to arrive or they bit off more than they can chew. yeah hml hits like crap...but it hits. Scared a few tacklers that way for the gtfo....guess they didn't want the tackle bad enough to go into hull. Gun side, I know ccp fixed 0 m tracking fail bug along time ago but someone neglected to tell most caldari rail boats that lol. For those who missed the fun basically you closed on a ship to 0 m and it could not hit you since tracking went epic buggy and did not track at all.
