Unless i am doing something wrong, when i buy items on the market...

So there are 2 offers for a product that I am buying..
20k, and
30k.

I CHOOSE to buy the 30k item, yet i am forced to buy the 20k item.

look up the philosophical term slippery slope.

you're looking at it wrong; youre using a broker in order to buy these things. Your broker is always going to choose the best deal on the market; if you want to pay more they're just going to pocket the difference like a real broker would.

Why would you want the more expensive item assuming that both are exactly the same. I would think that you are doing something wrong. I have never had this problem.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

I did allot of
" point 1 isk "
marketing wars,
and i made my fortunes, via said war..

Thus, through experience,
I do not want to support the person ,
that is offering a better deal by " point 1 isk ".

OP is probably trying to move isk from 1 char to another in a way that doesn't leave an obvious trace the two are related (alts)

Otherwise why not just accept the lower sell order.

Sure the .01 isk wars are annoying... but it's the only way to actually sell your stock due to so much competition

...

buying from specific suppliers and/or at specific prices can be accommodated by contracts.

I agree with the OP. +1

It is not about paying more for the same items, it is the ability to NOT buy for someone. I know I can't see who put the order up but at the same time I hate .01isk games and would gladly pay .01isk more to deny them the sale.

There are times when I have seen the .01 thing going on and I have manually clicked the buy order I wished and was able to buy the items I wished from the proper order that I selected.

You're probably doing it wrong. Or, something has changed. Or, I just didn't notice I actually bought the .01 lower order.

Pretty sure I got it from the intended order though.

I have a feeling CCP designed it that way to hinder ISK for real money sales. I've seen it in other games where you can put one item on the market for a billion gold, go to a website to pay some real money then the gold farmer buys that item.

I'm not even sure why anyone would go to these shady sites in this game when you can buy from CCP legally without any risk of ban.

Just sad really,

should it be true that this is a result of a anti-exploit move.
Then the dev in question would be ignoring the
other players while s/he chainsaws away
at the shadow of her/his paranoya..
efectivelly leaving behind a dead sand box.
