I guess there is such a thing as playing too much EvE.

What else could explain how I only just saw this.

The game can suck for all I care.

Not seeing anything game related there. It's a nice trailer showing the atmosphere of the gameworld with no connection to gameplay. They always tend to be cool and beautiful and every game, good or bad, has them. I'm not really sure why anyone should get exited about them anymore.

I think that its good for the first trailer to immerse the player in the world that the game is set in, and then put the actual gameplay in a later trailer.

Sort of like those epic Eve space battle cinematics. Even made in game supposedly. Then you see a proper fight and it's just.... blob city.

TBR not sooner than 2015. So probably we'll be already playing WoD then...

It is by CD Projekt Red the company behind The Witcher and Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings. They have a good rep, I am looking forward to this.

Oh yeah, I've played The Witcher and am still working through Witcher 2, both are pretty good RPGs

We'll see, but the RPG world this is based on was a tabeltop first. Cyberpunk 2013/2020 and other editions are inthe same style of the writings of william gibson, and others. a dark, gritty, film noir type world where technology is the fashionable cutting edge and megacorporations rule everything in this dystopian world where the skyscrapers are the seats of power and the streets are a mix of dog-eat-dog world and perpetual party.

cybernetics is the in thing, metal is better than meat - whether legal or illegal. we can rebuild you, we have the technology - for a price, both in cold hard cash, and in terms of your sanity.

see, in this world, when you put too much cybernetics in, your mind starts to go out of whack. your personality changes, becomes more machinelike, you develop a superiority complex and then it all goes downhill from there.

like the example of the exec who starts small, maybe some chipware installed in his head to help with account management and such, then moves on to other cosmetic items, mayber a new pair of lungs and modified heart and slight boost in reflex ability to keep up in those grueling raquetball games with the other corp brass, and so it goes.

it all adds up, sapping his humanity until he snaps and arrives at work and beats his boss to death with a racket before pulling out an assortment of guns and killing everyone.

its called cyberpyschosis, and the girl in this trailer has got it, probably just eviscerated her friends and loved ones with her built in blades for no reason at all.

to hunt down cyberpsychos they have to use C-SWAT (also called MAXTAC) - heavily armed cops who often are near cyberpsycho themselves.

I love videos like that. I've already have watched it probably a dozen times between last night and this morning.
