I think the responses are a little harsh as if you could agree to engage in point limited small gang fights then that would be very cool.

On the topic:

What does an arena do you cannot already do in EVE? It is not necessary and wishes come last. (Usually do wishes fall off the bus.)

There is no need for a PVP arena in EVE because we already have one....its called New Eden.

I *think* what you are wanting, OP, is for the duelling system to enforce true 1v1 combat, i.e. no other ships can lock the duelling ships while duel in progress, and all ongrid/offgrid boosts having no effect on the two ships.

Do you really think it would be fun?

This is what would happen, you would sign up with your friends and get steamrolled by a team of experienced players, and after a few minutes all of you would be sitting in your pods without killing anything.

Just move closer to low-sec or use a jump clone, and you don't have to do 20 jumps to look for fights.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

You more or less got the point. And as for the rest of you I am trying to bring more PvP to highsec like every one wants.

I dont think you get the type of PVP we want, there is nothing meaningfull about a secure high sec arena fights.

Someone blowing up when they werent really counting on getting blown up however, that creates ripples [and tears].

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.

Presumably you are not a troll. If you are; I can't even say well played because it is too overt. So odds are you're just not in touch with EVE Online (At least as far as I'm concerned)

So, you're going about it in a way that goes against the design principles of EVE Online. I'm hopelessly too lazy to find those original snippets from the Way ... wait. No, I didn't bookmark them. Stupid of me, because they're good for you to read.

Best advice I can give you: Forget about the game mechanics from FF?? or World of Warcraft or Lord of the Rings Online or Age of Conan or whatever it is you played before. This game is unlike any of them and translations of functionality that work in those kinds of games does not work very well here.

Go read some of the moments like the Guiding Hand Social Club and their nefarious activities. See how this game is different to the others. Then go to Features and Ideas and make a good suggestion instead Lol
