Why Should CFC, HBC and PL fight each other?

There is no advantage in it and here lies in the problem.

All the talk about Sov grinding is pure bull, the real issue is that between these 3 they own most of the Isk Printing Machines in Eve along with some of the best space so why should they fight?

Yeah many of the grunts on all sides would love to fight each other but the small hand full of people who control it all will never allow it.

As much as I hate it if I was in their position I would be doing exactly the same. Keep the peace for as long as possible whilst collecting all that lovely isk :)

Only time I can ever see these entities going to war is the day CCP finally get off their collective arses, grow a pair and sort out Moon Goo, yet I cant see this happening in the next couple of years so you will just have to get use to the ever growing blue doughnut that Eve is.

I think the big problem is that people like you are asking yourself "how can we make these idiots fight each-other for my amusement". The fact that tech is profitable and something worth protecting isn't some secret or conspiracy, but if you think that alliance-income is the only thing that's kept a sov war from breaking out, you don't understand the parties involved very well.

If the CFC wasn't burned out kicking down NCdot's sandcastle and marginalizing their weird and ****** allies, things might have happened differently. If PL wasn't engaged in different conflicts quite a ways away from Fade and Deklein, things might have happened differently. If this incident had happened even a year ago, things might have happened differently.

It didn't. Cooler heads prevailed, and we're still getting fat and rich off of a (still) broken bottleneck resource, if you wanted some epic BoB level war between eve super powers, sorry I guess.

If they have the isk and space they need, it seems pointless to try and take something you really don't want, which is why the sov grinding argument seems valid.

That does not mean people don't want to fight, the test "state alliance speech" did mention the idea of finding a region where CFC/HBC/ETC could fight in a what seemed like a RvB-style pvp scenario, in an attempt to make big fights happen without sov warfare.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

except they also said they want some kind of wager system, eg a staged fight for a tech moon. so really, they do want sov, but they don't want to endure sov mechanics to get it.

I guess that is true no one is probably going to say no to a tach moon, but not have to endure the sov mechanics sounds a lot like saying they don't want to grind sov.

there's also no point pvping without a purpose. there's no point doing anything without a purpose.

sov isn't a purpose to pvp any more for these people. although from what i understood of delve and -A- it never was, it was just all that was left when there was no pvp.
