Being from Boston I hate NYC. But MoMA is a great trip, Ive been there a couple of different times, just really well done. Maybe we can do a NYC EveCon while the presentation is up.

Well, NYC EveCon would be nice for those who live in the US, but it still leaves everyone else out.

EMP in Seattle is also doing an "Art of Video Games" exhibit right now, but I can't seem to find a complete listing of what games they are featuring.

Kind of like all the suckers who don't actually live in Iceland. Maybe we can get MoMA to provide airfare under the "thats not fare air fair location clause."

SimCity 2000 and MYST in game images are pretty cool. They bring back some memories. Wonder if they will include XCOM ufo defence and Baldurs Gate.

*Edit and the link says that the exhibit will open this month, but also that it is a long term project that they expect to add to in the coming years.

I would love to see what ends up going into the museum. But like anything of that nature, what would be the point if everyone could see it? The museum has to charge entries fees etc. It would be like a Theatre putting free online versions of their plays.

If the museum doesn't object, I would love to see it. But I would understand if we don't.

As an artist, I guess you do have a point, but I'm also more concerned with how many people see my exhibitions than the people themselves. I'm also drunk and not writing in my native language, so I hope you get my point.

The point of having museums in the first place is to make art accessible to the public. What would be the point of NOT displaying it electronically, in some manner? Even the Mona Lisa can be found online.

As for fees... Electronic is still not the same as being there in person, so somehow I don't think reproductions of their exhibits are going to impact their visitor numbers.

Today 'De Volkskrant' (a Dutch newspaper) put a photo impression online of the newly opened MOMA exhibition of the selected games.
EvE can clearly be seen in picture 15 (top left) and 16.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

So, did it get looked at? Or all we can do is just hope it did?

If the museum is concerned with people seeing the presentation for free, maybe CCP should make it available for suscribers only. I think it is a bit insulting that you ask your players to make something for you and when it's done, they can only see it if they pay thousands of dollars in travel expenses.
