Title says it all.

I war-dec someone and they disband corp before the war even starts.
Why do i not get the war-dec fee back ? Am I just thick or is this weird (war)game mechanics ?

The fee is a paperwork fee for Concord.

You decalred war on another/corp alliance. You won the war when they disbanded... paperwork still had to be filed.

Dec a larger entity. Or make more money.

You always run the risk of smaller entities simply disbanning. Either you see this as you being successful, dec people with too many members to simply disban that fast, or simply deal with it.

It's a poor design decision and it would be nice if it was one that got corrected, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Do what Tah'ris said to help avoid it.

We're adaptable creatures. Until CCP decides we deserve some love (never) we'll just have to deal with it.

It's not a poor design. War's are there to solve grievances and such... the ultimate goal was achieved and the corp disbanded.

Answer this simple question:

Why did you start the war in the first place?

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

It's the only way without having 10+ ppl in tornados to deal a blow on a 1 man botting corp.

So why are you surprised a one man corp folded under a wardec from a larger organization? Just gank them and be done with it.

If the situation was reversed would you return said fees to the applicant? If so you should consider handing over the corporation to someone with a better business model.

You gambled that they would fight. You were wrong, instead they ran. You lost the iskies you wagered. For a sure thing, go to lowsec and null. You will always find fights out there.
