Hey all.

I am looking to get a triple screen setup and was wondering if some people who also run this setup could give me some advice.

I have run a dual screen setup for a while but a third one would be wonderful.

I have 2 accounts currently and intend to create a third if I get this thing setup.

Monitors I intend to use are:-

x1 32inch Sony HD Bravia flat screen in centre ( i already have this and have used it before for Eve and its amazing so this one is decided upon)

x2 20 - 26inch (yet to decide on specific model) open to suggestions

My machine is a 8gig RAM with Intel i-5 2310 processor so will have plenty of raw power to run this setup, just needs some upgrades on GFX Card power supply and fan. I have a rough idea about how to go about this as I upgraded my old machine myself upto a dual screen setup, but the extra screen I have heard can make things, interesting at least.

I have a relativley large budget as I work full time, but don't go suggesting thousands of pounds worth of gear please. Tops I am looking to spend on the entire setup (2 monitors, GFX Card(s), power supply and fan.) is £700

So if you have an amazing setup for 3 screen please share yours with me and others. :)

Well, I use an i7 - 2600k, 16gb ram, 2 560 gti's, 2 24" monitors (1920x1200), 1 23" at (1920x1080) - I typically run at least 3 clients simultaneously - and things are pretty darn smooth.

One note of warning: Actually loading the captains quarters takes a heavy PSU :) (Used to use 2x 560gti and 1x460 - combined with all 3 docked and cpt quarters it took over 900W draw - per my UPS which was alarming all the time)

Not sure what you have atm as far as GPU goes - so hard to comment there -
But, something similar will work for 3 clients anyways. I have used more than 3 at one time, and sometimes get lag with more than 3 (never did really with 3 cards, but 2 gets lag sometimes).

ATI - 6950, 6970
Nvidia - 560gti, 570, 460gtx even

I used to run fine with 8GB ram, so that should not be an issue at all.

If you get the additional 2 monitors that are same resolution as your 32" - well, then if you have ATI or Nvidia SLI you could even span all 3 monitors in eve... (unfortunately I do not have 3 identical resolution monitors atm, or I would sometimes - hehe) <-- need to convince the wife that I need another 1920x1200 one....
