Can anyone please recommend a GREAT fit for low Sec Crane use.

If you need to carry packaged cruisers, your options are limited. If not, you can fit for more agility. But if you want the option to pass that 10k m3 mark at any point, you need T2 cargohold optimizations.

Mids get a MWD and passive resists. Lows get cargo expanders if you need the space, nanos and possibly a DC if you don't.

Oh, and a covops cloak. Obviously.

The resistance amps in the mids are there to help mitigate the smartbombing BS threat.

The Crane is the worst blockade runner. Get a Prowler.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Safety - Cargohold capacity


This is how I started:

High

- Covert-opp cloaking devide


Mid
- MWD
- Specific (Passive Hardeners) Smartbom counter

Low

2 x T2 Nano's (Nano's over inertá's due to the fact inerta's raise you signature and the aligntime gain is to small, this will align in under 3,5 sec)

riggs

2 x Medium Friction Nozzles


cargo capacity with nano's is reduced to (4300 m3) though it got me away from attacks on Custom ofices wille loading and unlaoding, with cargo hold extenders you gat something to 7400 m3 if I remember correctly.

I'd carry a small container with t2 cargo optimilisation modules in it, to change if needed or the system is particulairy safe.

Always worth thinking about warp core stabs in the lows and carring a pair of cargo extenders with you to hot swap into if you need them.

Just in case you run into a scan res boosted gate camp and dont get the cloak on quite quick enough or are unlucky enough to come out of gate cloak near an object.

yeah, definitely consider bringing warp stabs whenever you don't need the cargo. nanos are probably better in nullsec though.

After a while got confident flying in low sec and changed lows and rigs for cargo hold increment, made my crane a little bit more useful and reduced the amount of low sec trips I have to make now.
