Except when it came to the Caldari and select Intaki wishing to leave. There were alot of shots fired then which involved driving those who didn't agree out with force.

There is an ongoing crisis yet all you can focus on are events that have been debated to death over the course of a 100 years. Is that suppose to justify everything? No, but what happened cannot be changed, our bickering will not bring back the lives of those lost. We can stop the current situation from getting worse if we actually focus on it.

If you and the other citizens of the State cannot let go of the past, then you are no better than Tibus Heth and will not be able to fix the growing problems in your society.

Now look at the State. Heth promised you reform, and change. You certainly got that, in the form of firing squads, propaganda, military crackdowns, and civil unrest. The Caldari were a proud, stable, and determined people, now your government seeks to turn that around.

We tried to warn you, yet all you did was tell us scorn us, foolishly believing we are working against you. Now you must suffer the consequences of your ignorance.

My feelings exactly.

Forgive me for being a bit flustered, I just watched my countrymen murdered. I'm very aware of the crisis.

The point, however, was to illustrate that such a claim as the one you made is simply wrong and outrageous. No, it doesn't justify anything but that fact alone doesn't mean the Federation can wash its hands clean of the past and see fit to wag its dirty fingers at the State and its people while lecturing us on how our system has failed us. There are a number of people, including myself, who are actively seeking to remedy the problems within the State and between our peoples.

Perhaps you haven't noticed, but I've been preaching peace since I got here and have been attempting to find a compromise. Don't group me with Heth just because I refuse to allow the whitewashing of history.

A Hound piloted by my Mercs extracted a group of six protestors as they withdrew from the conflict with hopes of getting them to a medical facility on their way back to Gelfiven. The Team broadcast in local comms that they had wounded Caldari citizens and wanted to transfer their care over to CONCORD, the local Navy or anyone in the area that could dock. Instead of receiving assistance Provist warships began a game of cat and mouse with my team, trying to destroy the Hound.

When it became clear that the net was closing and that the team could not stay in system any longer waiting for someone to help the Caldari aboard they made the jump to Piak, where finally locals expressed that they would help. As they were awaiting a pilot to transfer care too the Provists once more engaged the Hound, knowing full well their own citizens were aboard and wounded and awaiting transfer. This time our Hound did not escape the attack, and those who chose to speak out against their own governments actions were silenced forever.

I have docked my Mercs pay for the next several months due to the fact that they did not follow standard policy of immediately putting wounded civilians into a medical capsule that could have been jettisoned and we as an organization will look at how to better have handled this. Furthermore we will try and locate the civilians families and make monetary compensations for our failures, but this is the price you pay when you allow a man like Mr Heth to govern you Caldari.

My point is that the events you mentioned are irrelevant in this discussion. The Federation has worked diligently to fix our side of the atrocities we are all equally responsible for. Further discussing what happened is rather pointless. Despite several periods of warfare, the Gallente system has worked. Sure, people are bickering constantly, but nobody is killing each other in order to get something done. Like a mother scolding it's child, we are saying what we said because we care about the Caldari people. It's not a ploy to make you come back to the Federation or for us to keep your homeworld. Few Gallente have a problem with the Caldari people, it's who you have in power that we absolutely despise. I've been seeking solutions as well, just from the other side of the stargate.

With that in mind, we need to stop getting off topic and focus on the problem at hand. The media blackout already shows that Tibus Heth is working on a way to weasel his way out of this massacre. I wouldn't be surprised if Tibus Heth will make a speech in the coming hours or days. I'd imagine he would try pointing fingers at someone else like he always does. He will probably say something like the protest were actually violent riots, started by covert Black Eagles members and the protesters were shot at in self defense or some other filthy load of lies.

My apologies, my burning hatred for that man sometimes makes me get carried away and say things I don't mean. You are not like Heth, not even close.
