You don't really lose anything in those situations though, bar the time you put in to get as far as you did and the "oh noes I has to rep my gear".

"Subscribers" is wholly misleading. You do not have 500,000 subscribers but 500,000 accounts. In a game where multiboxing is heavily prioritized, this is an outright lie.

Would estimate between 150k-300k unique subscribers everyone other than the recluses seems to have atleast 1 alt these days and many players have multiple accounts.

Not sure how many subs are in China, but lets assume all these numbers are on the same server. So there are 500K accounts and ~50K players online every day. This means each of us would have around 10 account. Man... this is serious boting :|

50k is the Peak Concurrent Users. Not the total number of people who've connected.

No, it really doesn't. It just means that most players do not religiously log on every day at peak hours.

What exactly constitutes a subscriber? If a pay for 3 accounts am I 3 subscribers? If so what is the number of actual paying players excluding their alt accounts? Is PLEX figured into those numbers?

You would be a subscriber with 3 active accounts. They count it by active accounts, as does every other company. Accounts paid with PLEX would be figured in to those numbers as they would show as active.
