Me, just one among many.

I will not pretend I would know how to write a proper introduction, so I keep it simple.

As all of you can see, my name is Terenius Neo. Currently member of The Scope and temporally retired Vice Commander of the Federal Defence Union.
For a longer time I follow regularly the discussions in The Summit and sneak as one of many ghosts into the live talk channel when on, well... let me say... on work, in low security space.

This few words have the purpose to draw your attention... on me, of course but without pointing myself out as a person of interest or pretend to be something else then just one among many.

I just hope, participants of The Summit, you can accept this few words as what they mainly are. A way to show my respect to all of you, instead of invading your talks without question or something meaningful to say.

So for now, I thank you for the spare time of yours and the little interest in what someone among many has to tell you.

Now, I have to meet a dancer.

Vice Commander of the FDU? Really?

Is that one of those tin-medals they hand out like candy these days or are you actually saying you were 2nd in command of the FDU?

To be 2nd in command of the FDU, would be an honor someone like me will not likely receive. Besides the fact that I don't have any interest to be in such a position.
So, if you want to call it this way, then yes... it is one of those tin-medals they hand out like candy these days.

I mentioned that just to show in which way I am political orientated and I like my tin-medal... but nice you noticed, thank you.

Humility?

We may actually get along, as much as political enemies can anyway.

Good to hear that, Mekhana.

And Khross, feel free to point your guns on my ship of course, should we meet in space. I repay the favor should it be necessary, no offence.

But being on opposite sides doesn't make us enemys, not entirely I would say. Or am I making myself suspicious just for the simple fact to be modest?

You misunderstand me.

I was being sincere, I respect humility and modesty, particularly from soldiers and leaders.

Make no mistake, we are enemies as long as you support the Federation in its war efforts and as long as I support the State in its war efforts. Even enemies may hold respect and honor for one another.

Mr. Areth, it is a pleasure.

We may be enemys, Mr. Khross but obviously we have a common point of view about the art of war and especially how you should meet your foes.

And like you, I am also sincere with my words.

We were born by mortals, which were born also by mortals and just because technology and with it our common capabilities made us different, it doesn't mean they make us better. Unfortunately a lot of Capsuleers think otherwise.

Anyway, thoughts like this keep me lowly.

Pleasantries in the Intergalactic Summit? I never thought I'd see the day. Hello Vice Commander Neo, blessings on you and your people for your humility and bring some decorum to the place.

It's good to see another officer of an official navy among all the rabble here. Welcome to this side of space, captain Neo, you'll soon see that pod-pilots lack the focus and discipline common to where you were stationed before. While in the navy we had to pay attentio to all said, you'll soon have to learn to ignore what most say here, or else your sanity will be lost.

In any case, welcome to this maddened corner of space, captain Neo. We'll probably meet on the battlefield sometime, but until then I wish you well.

The minute a capsuleer considers himself truly immortal, is the minute your clone wakes up in a medical bay, drowns, and never wakes up again. Your political alignment may be abhorrent in my eyes, but it is admirable that you remember where we all come from. I make sure never to be too long away from my fathers manse on Mishi IV, as I always come to miss the sands, markets, smells, sounds, and powerful nostalgia. Not to mention a veil does not look or function half as well in a pod as it does down in Mishi.

As to those "tin medals", they are a symbol of dedication, not power. They are worthy of some respect, taken with a grain of salt.

I truly hope you will not judge me to hard for my allegiance Ms Shandr. I try to serve my people, even if in the tragical way of life taking. While there are certainly other ways in serving the Gallente Federation, the truth is that some of us and on every side in the four nations of New Eden has to do it.

It is kind and pleasent to know your opinion about my rank, which the FDU granted me for the dedication to just one true thing and Mr. Orphrey named it ideally,... my people and their wish to be protected.
Besides this, I admit to be envious on a woman called Naira and the time she spends on Mishi IV at her fathers manse. As a son of activists and still such active parents there passes a lot of time before you meet the one who laid your paths in the first place. Complicated relations are a daily issue, am I not right?

But luckily there are also those who like to stay in touch. Those that will keep my sanity where it belongs. So no need to make this an isse but thanks for minding it... captain.
