Once I complete my skill plan for Minmater BS I intend on training towards the Nightmare...most of my relevant laser turret skills are at 4 or 5 apart from the ones for t2 (I still need to train medium and large t2 laser turrets) as well as cap and armor skills.

What kind of skill plan would you suggest I use for flying the Nightmare properly?

Shitposts so bad CONCORD gave me a 50 billion ISK bounty

First off... the Nightmare is a Shield tanked ship. Slot layout is as follows: 6 Highs, 7 Mids, 5 Lows.

I speak strictly from a PvE perspective... priority should be on capacitor and shield skills as the NM is definitely a challenge to fit and run well even with those skills maxed. You might also want to consider getting your jury rigging skill up to lvl 4 so you can fit a single T2 CCC with 2 T1s instead of 3 T1 CCCs.
Drone skills as far as you wish to take them to give you the help you need against smaller crafts that get in too close to hit well. Support skills as necessary and aim for your Elite Certs for defense, weapons and core competency asap. Someone else will have to touch on the PvP side of skill training for this ship... although I doubt it will differ much.

Nightmare have 2 options : pulse or tachyons
Pulse you NEED to have t2 guns for scorc ( its just stupid to NOT have it in cargo ready to be used )
Tachyons you can start with meta4/tachyons with factions multifrequency crystals ( worth every shot )
Always talking about guns , controlled burst is a key about PVE Nightmares

T2 rigs -> skill for enegy weapon one , large energy discarge elutriation II is better of a CCC t2
rest of rig fill with +cap ( Semiconductor )

Actually i am really loving to can target to 110 km ( self boosted with a noctis alt following me ) without mods
Long range targeting and Information warfare leaderships

I tried the Discharge Elutriation rig in the fitting tool... better off with going for faster recharge which will help all your mods (not just your weapons) and the CCC's will get you a better end result. My Nightmare is fitted with a single T2 CCC and 2 T1s and is completely cap stable... while with the Semiconductors (1 T2 and 2 T1) I am not.

I would recommend getting a fitting tool of some kind before investing in any expensive ship so that you can play with and test out fits before spending your hard earned isk on a single item. Eve HQ is an excellent program for setting up a training queue and you are able to set it to the skills you wanna train into and will let you see how a ship will operate with those skills trained. Afterwards it will let you set it back to normal as well. It can also be set with your hard-wiring implants so that it will account for those changes to your ship stats.

Imperial Navy tachs will help you a bit on cap if you intend to go the tach route and don't have the support skills filled out. Pulses - I'll second the T2 and scorch route.

I like to fly them in pairs and make them 'cap buddies' with the utility high slots.

I have found all the faction BS pretty easy to fit. They get crazy sweet bonus stuff so in general you don't have to try all that hard to get good results.

If you end up following all the fitting 'must haves' and make it an officer/dead space fit cream puff, then I have to recommend you try it out in wh space. I can give you a route to some really sweet sites to run (winky winky)

Be careful with that thing!
