Couldn't you... you know.... see that the cyno was right next to a moon? which, you know... might have a POS?
Couldn't you, you know, D scan that moon first?

Oh, you're afraid your target may get away if you wait... welll they've put a lot of time and resources into this (setting up the POS). Its only fair that you could do the same and take down the POS and deny them that haven while making jumps.

By the way, can't you travel very safely in nul sec by lighting cynos directly on top of NPC stations -> ie, undock, jump to 0 on another station, redock?
SO even without the POSs, you're still not likely to catch them in low... and especially in null, you know they're using the local intel tool, so lighting a cyno when someone is in system should be obviously a tarp.

Here is the point all of you keep missing. If we don't warp directly to the cyno, we will miss tackling the jump freighter. Even if we warp to a planet or safe spot near the cyno to make sure it is not a trap, by the time we find out it IS the jump freighter and then warp to the cyno, it will have safely warped off into the shield. Cry

We tried to use a nullified cloaking tech 3 ship to investigate, but that guy decided to take matters into his own hand and try and snipe the bait ship. Unfortunately, he lost the Tengu to the POS before his missiles hit the bait cyno ship.

The only course of action that we could do to put a stop to this was reinforce the tower and later kill it completely after it comes out of reinforce mode. As bad luck would have it the guy who was going to light a cyno for our dreads was pulled into the bubble trap. So he rage logged off and logged off his Phoenix dread alts. So we no longer had enough firepower and could not attack it.

The point of all this is it is a 100% risk free setup for logistics and 100% killer of investigators. It should not be possible to do this.

I thought your original post was good, but this is getting better and better. Please do continue.

I hope you learned your lesson. Blindly warping to a cyno in 0.0 can be dangerous.

Game mechanics can't fix stupidity.

So why were bubbles allowed to pull ships?

I mean I understand stopping warp but why the pull?

Also if the drones and POS kept grid load to lag levels petition OP, that is no kosher.
If on the other hand you stayed until you were popped, hahaha stop feeding!

Because they'd be pointless otherwise.

So I can suddenly warp off a gate in a bubble?
No really I am curious what is the decided reason why bubbles should be allowed to pull rather than just halt warp travel in their effect.

I mean when is Greyscale going to attack the dual use of bubbles?
Are you guys ready for that? (seriously be ready it is exactly the thing he will do next)

Though I would like it bubbles had a warp strength of 1 so they can be gotten out of with wcs.

I dont like it when missiles hit my ship. maybe CCP should remove them from the game or give me a module that allows the missiles to pass through my ship and hit yours.

Bubbles are great and are not a problem. They are working as intended and changing them to allow people to warp out of them would defeat the purpose of them.

ie.

Oh **** my Titan/Supercarrier is tackled. Oh wait, I can just warp away because these bubbles are not doing anything.

as for pulling or stopping you, working as intended.

if you dont like bubbles, move to low sec or empire.

Made a signature so I am taken seriously on the forums, since thats the only thing they are good for.

Actually making permanent bubbles into drag while interdictors prevent warp 1 & 3 strength respectively would give reason for variety.
Also I already do stay in hi and low due to my dislike.
And why do bubbles work on supers when only hictors will normally?

Seems like clever use of game mechanics until the nullie Easy Button folks whine enough and CCP changes it.

i love watching the npc alts, miners and mission runners calmly suggest that one can avoid bubbles by warping at range

this is why such people need to be despised and scourged: they authoritatively opine on aspects of the game of which they have no understanding

It would be funny if it worked though.

I simply wonder if they're serious or if they're deliberately misleading people hoping to get more kills for their mains.
