Just curious. It doesn't have to be on the same character, but how many of you engage in pvp? For example, my Indy alts fund my fun in RvB.

And i mean real pvp. Being ganged in a mining belt is only pvp if you ate the ganker, not the ganked (unless the ganked is a pvp fit bait ship)

Zero, I don't do any type of ship combat PvP, at least not in the last 3 years. I used to be part of a really big alliance, and it's all blob on blob warfare in null, and structure grinding. Break out the Dread, go blow up some undefended POSes, rinse repeat. Low sec is also blob on blob, gate camping, and very few fun fights and stupid station games. It's all boring as hell and a long waiting game that often culminates in nothing.

I prefer doing manufacturing, PI, other ventures and selling items while playing the market. My goal? To make and horde as much isk as possible simply for the sake of making isk. Sounds nuts right? Well it is, but it's what I like to do.

I usually have one night a week where I will PvP. I am really bad at it but I want to get better. Right now I use my industrial and markets skills to fund my ships and skills.

Start the day off slow and taper off from there.

Im a lowsec player, average about 100 kills a month on my main character.

Industry initially was a means for me to fund my PvP.. Then it turned out I actually enjoyed it, so now its just part of my game.

I started computer gaming in flight simulaters almost 20 yrs ago. Eve is the only MMO I have ever played and compared to Flight Sims, Eve PvP is very tame, and is more a "who can get the most firepower here NOW" exercise than what I consider PvP. Eve PvP screams BLOB em, IMHO!

I spend most of my time making isk, is more of a challenge for me. Your mileage and enjoyment level may differ.

I don't really. Sometimes I go out on fleet ops if I have time or random roams, but it's been sparse. I haven't had a lot of time lately so that's my main reason but I have almost 100mil sp's and it's not all industry. So that's not an excuse P

In other games I've always been drawn to pvp I just need to focus on it more is all. But I spend too much time trying to get my "industry system" running where I'm at in null that I don't focus enough on pvp. But regardless, I still enjoy the game.

Ya, I started pc gaming back in the 80s on a commodore 64.... I was big into flight sims myself, played microsoft flightsim in 86 I think it was... Back before anyone even knew who microsoft was.

Falcon 3.0 series, all the way up to Falcon 4.0 and all addons.. Tornado, lots of others too..

My industry alts are optimized for industry, with implants to go with them. No, they don't peeveepee. I have combat alts for my low sec fun time. :)

Maybe once every other month. That's about as much stress as I can tolerate. Last time was last Sunday.

Most of them, it just isn't always consensual Bear Most industrialists will pvp at some point in their lives, either just to try it out or to see what the fuss is about. Many will continue to pvp, some will never do it again. I was the former.

I do several times a month. Granted my combat skills do not match my defense, drone and industry skills, but I am working on that. I mainly got into industry to fund my PVP (long term goal) I set it up to be able to be self sufficient in lowsec.

Didn't PVP for some time because of rl stuff, but bulk of my killing was done 2009 - 2012.

I was industrialist first and then kept doing it parallel to PvP and I'm still manufacturing stuff :)

This account is quite pointed at Trade/Industry, but on my other account I've started out as an industry pilot, but by a rash solo-roam I did I tasted PvP for the first time. Afterwards I've joined RvB for some more experience, now back with my old corp. Done a roam last weekend and we really had a good time and it was nice to see how normal industry pilots enjoyed the change.
Hehehehe after the roam a buddy of mine explained he didn't want to perfect his refining and mining skills anymore and wanted to look into flying effectively PvP ships. Reminds me of how my tastes changed a lot.

Anyway I advise every carebear to try at least once PvP; go on a roam with buddies, join RvB for a week or just duel with some guys. I'm pretty sure you'll get a thrill.
