Since this is a discussion, about Bad Bobby & you post a bit.

I've run about 5 bonds in MD, made great money from them. To me the borrowing power of MD is worth more than any short term lolscam or ripped off amount.

Do you agree/disagree that would probably have made more money running that IPO legit + still had borrowing power for other avenues. ?

Would you ever consider handing the money back the Active MD members you ripped off? ALA Michael Douglas in Wall Street (2)

I can only guess at how things would have gone had I not scammed, so it's difficult to make any meaningful comparison.

However, scamming did not remove my borrowing power so I am not really seeing a major downside.

With no collateral, using that character, you have no MD borrowing power, is what i was saying. getting a loan from a buddy is another.

But im willing to guess, you could easily run another (on purpose this time) scam using other characters, hell im sure you could even get more milliage out of bad bobby, ppl throwing money at you in some sycophant way, just to say there scammed by the titan guy.

Sorry, I did not get that distinction. I will try to answer the question you asked rather than the question I read.

Yes, I certainly lost my MD borrowing power on Bad Bobby and all my known alts. But what was that worth?

There is a ceiling to how much a person can borrow. It's not like I had earned Grendell or Chribba level trust with MD. The reason why I had to use trustees with T4U was because there was no way anyone would trust me with 280b without them. Even at the end the most I had been able to gather from MD in one unsecured transaction was about 160b. I had to strap on a lot of private loans and other deals in order to leverage my trust to level I did, maxing out at somewhere in the 800-850b region. Exactly how much further do you think I could have taken it?

Now consider that with all that money loaned to me I had to pay a fair amount of interest each month. Swapping that from debts to assets by way of a scam removed all the interest payments and all the work required to manage and maintain the loans and my public persona.

I don't disagree that I could have done great things with the trust I had gained, but it's not like I haven't been able to do things without it.

Aside from that, there is what I said in my original answer. My corps, alliances and friends have deep enough pockets that I've not felt any shortage of funding for my schemes. MD is not the only, or the best, source of funding available.

Those "great things" would make the game more interesting for me, than tangibles.
